Well is it a diesel or petrol?
Maintenance wise I personally like to use a little thicker oil like 20w50 if a car has higher mileage but usually 15w40 is used here (South Africa) little warmer here.
And remember to check your dif and gearbox oil on every service it's a pain yes but it's worth it.
We usly use a ep90 for dif
You can service your dif and gearbox about every 40 000km to 80 000km
If you do a service try to use a better quality oil and oil filter as well.
Make sure you put your brakes in the correct order and side, it's possible to put it back words, if you're not sure what you doing take a foto before and well your stripping part off ,if you need to revise what you need to do you at least have the fotos.
A easy thing to do to make a bit more power if it has a turbo you can replace the intercooler with a 2016 ford ranger 2.2 or 3 L intercooler.
It's going to take some modifications and brackets to put it in but it's not rocket science.
