Hi Jo, sorry for the pain you went through, I'm glad the community reached out and helped relieve some of the pressure and I hope you are beginning to be in a better place.
I could nominate a few people but for the interest of fairness a particular person i will nominate is [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Chuck_Norris [2544593]
[/background]I have recently returned to Torn after probably more than a decade, although memories came flooding back it was also a strange place and I had no idea where to start. By chance Chuck_Norris spoke to me and since that day has guided me, is always kind and always gives me his time and patience even when busy with work and family. I'm sure he helps many other people too and has become someone I trust in Torn. He totally deserves some appreciation, more so than what I can offer.
I'd also like to give a special shout out to my faction members who welcomed me and have given me a great place to be a part of. Good luck to everyone who gets nominated!
I've probably missed some points here as I skipped several pages - and a lot of points are repeated throughout.
However my take is that while I agree, if there was an agreement or an assumption of a price per revive I can see why this has caused upset, better communication would have resolved this a lot quicker if leaders had been better with comms, or people had clearly asked for confirmation earlier they could have anticipated a potential change in revive price.
What I think rules over all of this though is how integrated you are with your faction. You have mentioned you felt you participated a lot, donated a lot etc which leads me to believe that you felt you were embedded with that faction. Since my return to torn I have been in 4 factions, 3 of the factions leaders and members I still communicate with and respect, I would happily help them if they needed anything from me and I'm sure they would do the same in return. I would have full faith in them to put everyone's best interest first and if they couldn't pay out for a RW, or any other reason even if I only found out after, I would be completely fine with.
I think that's the problem here, if this is the first incident that's happened and this is your reaction, you weren't in the right place otherwise you would not have cared. Go and find a place you want to be, and be part of their movement, don't just be part of a deal.
Would be a nice addition, however I feel crimes abroad would need to work in a slightly different way for it to function. For example if you get caught or hospitalised rather then waiting it out abroad you are immediately sent back (slow conair flight?) with a fine to pay (maybe through duke or a bounty hunter?). Perhaps a few different crimes for each country, with increasing rewards but also risk for further away destinations.
The current crimes are torn city based so I feel copy and pasting them to use abroad seems wrong, but extra things to do while travelling would be nice. Does slightly grey the area between flight time/mertis and torn city activity.
