This my first suggestion but i thought I give it a try
Why don't we have a system announcement every time an event is going on or is about to happen?

I understand that there is a calendar and the newspaper but not everyone is constantly looking at it, somedays i don't even look at the newspaper. And here lies the problem. I understand veterans to the game know the important events like Christmas town, etc. but for new players like me we dont.
If we do get a system announcement for every event that is about to happen or is happening. I think it would benefit more players than hurt it. Ill give you an example a few weeks ago we had tourism day that gives you double carrying capacity. I didn't even know that the event was happening and thought it was some sort of bug or something.

I know some of you might think that you should just go on the forums to be up to date on events but again not every player goes on the forums. Don't get me wrong i love the forums and because of it i got to level 15 really fast but i still think there should be an event announcement system it will help more people then hurt then and maybe get more players to play on the event day if they get an system announcement 1 week or maybe 3 day before an event starts.
