If that's the case, I render the file first into a video format (must be larger than the actual size) and import to Premiere and export next to GIF (resize to the original scale).

I think both are fine. Sometimes, my output is kind of large after rendering, that's why I finalize them in Premiere. It can help reduce the file size without destroying too much of the original quality.
