I am very new to Torn. So maybe I just need to wait or look harder.

But my first impressions is that it is evil vs evil.
The Torn intro does state that it is crime based, so I get that.
But it seems a tad boring.
Where is the fun of a bunch of thugs pounding on one another...
It is expected, and no one feels sorry for anyone or anything.

For me it would be more interesting if there were counter balancing 'good' paths to follow.
These could have their own perks and benefits.
Police (could go both ways, good and bad)
Priests (likewise)
Charity Workers
Animal Shelters.
Social Workers
Unions
etc...
Penalties for doing crimes, etc...

So far the only thing that seems to come close is the medical profession.

Maybe this is already built in to Torn, but I just am not at a high enough experience to see it yet?

Anyone know of any successful factions that go against the grain and try and do socially positive things?

I realize that any good factions and players would be painting a target on their backs, but that would make the challenge all the more rewarding to go against the misanthropes.

Anyone else feel this way, or am I just the newest lunatic ;)
