The best gift I got was honestly my dog Mandy. It wasn’t supposed to be a Christmas gift because we weren’t allowed to have a dog, but we were watching a baby boxer puppy that our Dad’s friend had just rescued. My sister grew overly attached to it for the weeks we watched it and when it came time to give her back my sister refused. We ended up finding another Boxer pup that needed to be rescued so we got that dog for our parents friend and my sister, who was about 12 at the time, managed to convince our dad and mom (separate houses) that she could take care of a dog on her own. She managed to convince them and genuinely trained our dog and she happens to be the sweetest boxer I’ve seen to date. She’s super good with my youngest baby sisters (5 and 3) and genuinely one of the sweetest dogs I’ve been around.
