Assuming makes an ass out of you and me, so best not to do that. I just forgot how to read or read way to quickly in the moment.

I was playing poker when a weird split happened, someone got a straight with 8 high (absolutely would lose to that) and someone else got 1 pair of Queens, I had 2 pairs of Queens, but I lost to the guy who only had 1 pair?? This makes sense how???? I should have won that split but instead I lost everything. Don't care about losing when it makes sense but that just blows my mind. I'm just confused, is there some underlying mechanic that they don't mention that I should know or did I get absolutely robbed?

Thanks for the help everyone!! I'll have to look a lil deeper on the rules, there's definitely some underlying things that aren't mentioned 😅😅
