I've been playing for a few years now, I'm 27 currently, and torn has been with me through some very formative events in my adult life. In my 4 or 5 years of playing, I've survived irl hate crimes because of fears or hate about my sexuality, [I'm gay] I've been affected by a shooting at a gay night club in Colorado Springs as I lived just down the way and knew some people who were injured, and I've settled into my IRL role of a gay rights activist. All the while I've been playing torn, talking to some of the coolest most down to earth folk around, and have been lucky enough to have been made family to some of you. I know it seems like I rambling but there's a point to this post I swear. In all my years here I've seen many a bigot or a homophobe or a transphobe try to start some shi and get shut down immediately. Torn doesn't generally tolerate intolerance, and it has come to be a safe space for me as I'm sure for one reason or another it's been made one for you. I just wanted to say, Tha k you. Thank you for being supportive of your lgbtq brothers and sisters and theysters and for fighting for us. I've never felt anything but welcomed by all since I started playing torn I am so Thankful for all of you reading this. You make torn a fantastic place for all. Much love to you, Dankbreath

With the oppression felt most recently both here in the US and our cousins across the pond towards not just gay but trans people as well it's amazing to have yalls support and a safe space. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Surprise Surprise the norse god guy living in the south doesn't see or feel racism or homophobia or Trans phobia. Maybe just because something doesn't impact you in particular doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 

I might add to all of you arguing about if this is a political post or not, no. It's not. It's about our community here in the game, and how grateful I am to have found a place I can be myself and not face an outrageous amount of hate. I have been through much, and will most likely go through more before I'm called home to my parents, and my brothers, and my sisters. My life and my existence is no more political than yours. You assign our lives to the political spectrum to dehumanize us as a whole so that it's easier to not feel empathy for us as humans. Regardless I have nought but love in my heart for you, and wish nothing but the best. 

Im proud of my torn community, how we always seem to have eachothers backs. Even if we all disagree on some BS, we can all always blame our woes on ched, and I think thats something to be proud of. Not like a faction that doesn't discriminate but like an actual LGBTQIA+ faction? Filled with all sorts of flavors of gay? Just curious. With how toxic some on torn can be you'd figure not but you never know.

Actually there's many many more. There may only be two that YOU recognize but there are many many more. To firmly state that there are only two, you are blatantly wrong.

If it is any amount of truth it is the truth from a book that would see women stoned, men like me, killed along with who we choose to love, disrespectful children mauled by bears, it would have daughters seduce their lonely fathers. And that's just in the old testament. If you're truly a follower of christ than you know he rendered the old testament defunct. Jesus taught above all else love. Love for your neibors love for your enemies, love for your community regardless of their status or piety. If you truly do not hate, and truly do not preach hateful rhetoric, they why do you defy the teaching of Jesus christ? You being here posting Bible quotes that go against Jesus is very unchrist like. You could care less. Than why continue to lament about it in the first place? All I've ever done my friend is love. I love you, as you were my brother. Though we may never meet, the love is strong and firm in my heart. If you don't care at all why are you still here, expressing such hateful rhetoric? I hope you love yourself my friend.

I hope that this song based from psalms helps you let more love and the light of God into your heart. 

If not hate, then love. Your comments do not send the message of love but of fear and misunderstanding. Usually you will only be called a bigot if you express bigoted views. I'm sorry pastor but I haven't seen anything but hate in the rhetoric you preach. 

No victim mentality here friend. Just a bunch of people who love. Is love such a bad thing that we are only allowed to show ourselves one month of the year? We are still around before and after that month. I don't want any person of any faith receiving backlash for expressing their views but that is the way of things. If you love and are loved, then you know that these things matter less and less. 

I only talk about it to be heard. There are others that should know it's safe for them to come out. It's the fact the you think nobody cares that is wrong. Many care. Look around you everyone cares in one way or another. If they didn't this thread would have been buried. 

No apologies necessary friend. I've studied theology and I am an open deist. I won't get into what that means because discussing religion is a sure fire way to make many angry. I just try to put my love and my feelings into words that someone from a different faith can understand.

I love you as YHWH loved his only son. I love you as Jesus loved the world. I love you as my neighbor, as my fellow man. No matter what you think of me or who I am or who I stand in front of God as, I love you.
