So I keep seeing posts about exploring torn, but how big is it? I guess I stick to the main pages (city shops, newspaper, obviously travelling etc) but how deep is the torn rabbit hole?
What's up with season 4? I'm dissapointed with the update atm just doesn't seem like there's much...? I thought we'd have a newish map and all.
What's happened to the pre-game? You can't make any kills anymore except for when it randomly let's you get one kill.... What's up with that?!
Where Plunder gone? It was the perfect game to get you into the swing of things and let's not forget all the xp it gives you! Where's it gone and will it come back?!
Looking for a spouse which is pretty active! I have a PI and want to share the upkeep! I'm wanting the long term merit! And help each other out when needed :)
I do see what you're saying, I think they made it seem poorly thought out as, it was a moment that came out of nowhere, was shocking and happened so fast, that ellie or whoever didn't understand why it had happened I think we're suppose to feel that same and the fact abby and her group found him and had to act fast before others came. They didn't have a plan of what would happen when they found him so it was like we are getting all of it, the poorly executed scene, the shock and how there's not much explanation for it at that point anyway. If that makes sense.
In a response to Raius I gave a brief outline of how I saw and understood the game. I mean obviously the whole game is about Ellies character development, it's not about Tommy, Dina or even Joel, the ending to me made sense. But it felt rushed regarding other aspects of the game. I mean Im just speculating but have a read of what I wrote to Raius and weigh in, I think it all made sense but I don't know
So they way I saw it was that on the surface its about revenge HOWEVER I think it was never about revenge the whole game in fact was about Ellie forgiving Joel for what happened with the Fireflies and lying to her for so long.
At the start Ellie and joel's relationship is fractured, she's found out the truth and she can't accept that it was taken away from her. Then joel's is murdered and they haven't resolved this issue (the last time they were together was at the barn dance when Joel stepped in and ellie got pissed at him).
Dealing with this she goes on a rampage to avenge his death, throughout the whole game we see flashbacks of memories together some good some bad. She never deals with his death just focus' on getting this girl!
Fast forward to the end. Ellie has found Abby, there is a reference to the first game but its important, Ellie watches Abby goes back for Lev, ignoring that this girl has hunted her and found her, and carries Lev to the boat. Ellie seeing this has a certain realisation that Abby is Joel and Lev is her (when Joel saved her from the fireflies) I think they even say the same thing "I got you".
When they fight abby bites off her fingers and ellie is drowning her, she flashes back to joel on his porch playing guitar smiling. This is not what Joel wanted, this act of killing abby wouldn't bring Joel back and this moment breaks Ellie, she tells them to just go, at this moment she has accepted his death and his choices, she may not still agree with it but she understands it.
Then finally she goes back and realises she's lost everything, even the one gift Joel gave to her and shared so many memories has gone her fingers are gone and she can't play the guitar as she had before.
It does leave the ending open, will she go back to the community, will she herself discover the fireflies are still around (she's got nothing to lose now) etc. I mean that's how I took the game I thi k that's why we play through abby to see her side of things and understand her actions, I don't know
Yeah gta 6, however I think they over did gta5 and the online thing, would have to be a really good story and some new features to properly real me back in
