I have clothes on. Pants even! So how can I change this title or whatever it is?
I've been a bondsman for months and I'm beyond ready for a change. The explanation for that title says it's someone who bails people out of jail. I've done that maybe once a long time ago, but since I'm a newish player without a lot of money I'm skeptical if I did it even once. I'm sure I *attempted* it once, but I doubt I succeeded.
At any rate, I've done a lot of other things since then so I'm not sure why it hasn't changed to a different title by now. So what's something I can pretty easily do to try to force it to change.

What I find puzzling is that when someone attacks me just before I log in, I will log in to find myself in the hospital. That's the case whether they hospitalize me or leave me in the street. So in that regard, what's the difference?
So this isn't a complaint too much, but I find it very odd. It seems like your level and battle stats have a lot more to do with whether you win a fight than the weapon type. Specifically, there have been times when I've been shooting at my target with a gun or rifle and they take me out with a knife or chainsaw.
You'd think the ranged weapons would beat the hand-held ones, but instead it feels like I'm walking right up to their face to shoot them point blank... and getting my guts ripped out with whatever they have in their hand!

Yikes, I'm having trouble with another Duke mission. This time he wants me to buy a gun, use it to hit two people, and then sell it again. I did all that yesterday with a Glock. But none of it seemed to satisfy the mission so it still shows that I haven't done it. Is there a particular kind of gun that is needed?

Ah, thank you for spelling it out for me like this. It wasn't clicking until this!
So my rank on people bailed out is 45,572 (1 time) and my rank for being jailed (I think I want to become a felon) is 97,400 (57 times).
It sort of makes sense, or at least I understand it now. When you look at the stats this way I still do think it's a bit counter-intuitive because I've only bailed one person but stuck with that title for months when I've done other things a LOT more. But I'm good for now, thanks!

I'm surprised nobody is saying Felon. That one seems like it should be easy too, just get caught doing a crime you're not experienced enough to do successfully.
What bothers me is that nobody seems to know the exact requirements to get these titles and it's not documented. By that I mean HOW MANY times to you have to fight naked to get the Nudist title, or HOW MANY times do you have to land in jail to become a Felon. You all have been very helpful in this thread, so I'm not complaining about you guys. It just seems odd, like the algorithm for each one is a company trade secret or something. :)

Oh, just bump it up one rank?
sorry, I still don't understand. The player graphs like Kelsie said, it doesn't show whether it's my highest. It just shows essentially the "hall of fame" ranking for that particular stat.
And ugh, sorry I don't mean to be a whiner, but... okay here's a little whine. I think I'd like the Felon title which is described as "times jailed". I can do that pretty easily. I pull up the player stats and it just shows all the players ranked in order of how many times they've been jailed. That's still not helping me know how many times I need to be jailed to get the title. Does anybody know?
It would be a lot easier if there was a way to sort by the stats that are closest to reaching a title, like how the honors can be sorted that way. But if that's not available, then I guess I can try to find something using the method you describe.
FWIW, I was a nudist before I was a bondsman, so it is possible to get rid of nudist. Harder to get rid of bondsman. This all makes me think that they maybe don't work quite the way they're documented!

This is kind of exactly what I was looking for, except that I don't see anything about titles in Tornstats. I see my ranking of honors and medals but not titles. Are they sort of related, so if I try to get "The Stabbist" honor which I'm close to, it will change my title also?

Aside from all the complaints, I've only really noticed the sparsity of eggs (I've only found about 7 so far) because I can compare it to another game I'm playing that's also having a month-long easter egg hunt. They're a lot more likely to spawn in that game, even though the prizes they contain are very small. It makes them fun to find as I go around hunting monsters, I turn around and there is an egg! Also, wild fun couldn't do that on purpose stuff like an egg (which only gives 2 or 3 experience points) bumping me over the edge to the next character level.
So yeah.... been spending a lot more time on that other game than here, partially because of the egg spawns. Check in here just once or twice a day. (I'm also not yet at the level where I can fly and explore the full Torn experience.)

darn, that's counterintuitive, but okay. at least I figured it out, lol!

Yes, I bought the gun from the item market and then sold it there, too. I didn't just list it. None of the tasks on this mission are crossed out.
Thanks all, I guess I'm off to report a bug!

I went to the Hall of Fame to pick the people to hit. Could that be the issue?
Nope, only one Glock. i don't use one normally.

I bought one gun (a Glock) as the mission says to, attacked two different people with it, and then sold it in the item market. He didn't tell me who to hit, just to hit two people. I definitely hit them both with the Glock, attacked and left them in the street.

Thanks Yasen, that explains it. :)
Ah, thanks, that did it. I think it wanted the word in both the subject line and the body of the email.
Hey, so I am up to the Duke missions, specifically the one called "Pass the word". Duke says I need to send a message to someone (specific) and include the word nauseating. I've done that twice, once through email and once through chat and it doesn't seem to be triggering the mission completion. Am I missing something or is there a bug?
Except I've been wearing armor, including in attacks since day one. LOL! Maybe it's because I am commando beneath my combat pants.
