I am probably missing something here..... but why does anyone have to be held to paying anything? This was extortion.... and if you choose not to pay..then R* should just have to fight you for the racket right.... Extortion has a threat to it...if you don't do this...then we do this.... soooooo why should anyone other than these 2 factions be involved?

Pretty sure this thread's intent is not at the player, but at the person in an attempt to further spread a phrase he used to make him look like something horrible.
I do know Mean Mike in real life (no joke) he is a wonderful person and this is quite shitty to capitalize on a word that he used even though the meaning was not as you all are pushing it to be.
Hope this is taken down and I see someone has already reported it. This is definitely an attack on personal character, not some in-game BS.

Windy, funny how we first met in this game so long ago.. found your name and thought I found someone who spelled their name like me lol.
Later we got to be in several of the same factions and become good friends. You have listened to me in some of my darkest times and in my best and have always remained a friend. Someone I could talk to about anything
We game together, chat about life and family and even though you're leaving this game I know that's not going to change because you're my friend not just someone who plays Torn.

I don't believe it was an innocent mistake. Anyone with common sense would have questioned how much they #1 added to their own balance (after first looking at how much that other person had for a balance), #2 sent to their self and #3 sent to that other member.
