Well friends it has been 4 weeks since I started my adventure with you all on this text-based platform and my gosh it has gone so quick.
I really just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who have helped me develop my account and for being part of such a diverse community.
A huge thanks goes out to my wonderful faction of whom I have made some really good friends, I even whatsapp and Facebook some of them too so big shout out to the boys and girls looking after me on that side of things.
The IRL missus has been playing too bless her little heart, so shoutout to Imsie for just giving it a go and getting stuck in (although she plays her way and her way only...but she's all for it....)
Bogie – not forgetting you for helping me out when I first started – massive shout out there thank you. From a new players perspective having quick fire replies from a Staff Member is something to be cherished in any game so much love.
Reaching Level 15 was such good fun, we managed to do it in around 3 weeks I think, but my oh my how travelling changes the game! I haven’t made my millions just yet but I have been mugged so hard I actually had to change my gameplan so that I wasn’t falling asleep IRL in a different country, it’s like writing “easy victim” on your forehead. Luckily I only lost around $1.5mil so that won’t happen again. (1. Because I don’t have that kind of money anymore since I rented my PI but 2. Because I won’t fall asleep IRL whilst myTorn-self is stuck abroad!)
Anyway’s it was just a chance to say thank you to all of you for being such good fun to hang around with in this city full of possibilities and if anyone has any further info for me, goals I should set, general playinginfo etc. then please drop it to me like its hot!

So I am just shy of two weeks into this amazingly addictive game that is Torn.
My lovely Faction have been so helpful and taught me loads of cool stuff, one being the "Duke and Leslie" attacks...
So I logged on this morning and was caught in my daily mission from Duke. I was asked by the Gangster himself to take his new Hammer and "try it out on different body parts to see where he should use it on his enemies himself..."
Basically I needed to hit 6 different body parts with Duke's Hammer.
So I was pondering about the best way to do it when all of a sudden in our Faction chat someone reminded me it was only 19 minutes until Duke would be ready to be attacked by a mob of 50 players. KERCHING! The irony!? I will try to use Duke's Hammer.... on Duke himself! I mean in my eyes it fits perfectly, he could then probably tell me where hurt the most right!?
Anyway - The time comes, I jump in the lobby, I spray my Pepper Spray and catch Duke right in the eyes! (Not to mention the 49 other people who probably laucnhed an entire disco sets worth of Smoke and goodness knows what else at him!) and then I go to town with the Hammer, I spam click that bad boy and to my surprise the attack is over and I have landed 11 hits on different body parts using Duke's Hammer.
Just a little something to amuse you all I guess,

I can't believe I managed to do 25 in a row on my second try! Mental!!
I love this game so far and the achievements are so much fun to go after!
I find myself stressed whilst playing this game whilst also working IRL.
I think its because I am still new and Time management is key apparently to be efficient. It depends though if you want to just play for fun or if you want to be efficient. I am the same in every "game" I play. I think efficiency has killed gaming to be honest. Like I feel like I am wasting my time if I am not playing efficiently, but efficiency doesnt always result in satisfying or relaxing gameplay....
For me a Torn Dollar at the minute is my time. If I fly to a country and DocTorn is down, and there are no plushies or flowers for sale then I am losing Time and Time is Money (And energy) in this game. I'm very much a "schedule" kind of guy, so much so I specifically play this game to fit around my work schedule. I get online at the same time everyday, I train the same way everyday, and I currently travel to the same (if there are plushies/flowers there) destination everyday. This all fits around my time during working as well as the time it takes for my natrual E and Nerve to regenerate.
Therefore Torn Dollars for me is Time. Time is money, money isn't used to boast at the moment for me, its used to travel furhter (extended PI leases) and upgrade what I have (suitcases and gym trains).
Eventually I think that Torn Dollars will be just that.... Torn Dollars... but until then, Time is my unit of wealth.

As a new player and new traveller I was very timid about selling my products to anyone. Master messaged me and we setup a date as to when I would trade my things over. He messaged me on the date to confirm and we setup a lovely trade where I made some money and he was quick and easy to deal with, with great prices too. Recommended highly
You simply do not post people's real world details without consent and you certainly do not harass anyone, woman, girl, female, man, male, boy etc. You just don't do it. I am so sorry you had to go through this. Disgusting. I'm glad to see Bogie had the first reply and obviously it was just what you expect from this well governed game.
If you need any help me and my girlfriend are more than happy to talk to you and make you feel more welcome than this ... oooh I can't say what i would want to.
If you want to know more - read your missions and they help you get around. Following that, within the Tutorial section of the forums you will find so many helpful things to read up on.
Also, there is a chat dedicated to new players in the bottom right of your screen, it's operated by new players and moderators and helpers etc. so feel free to ask all your questions in there.
I was told that Torn is a game to play with regards to: 1) It doesn't take up too much of your time. 2) There's loads to do, depending on what you want out of it (Friends, Enemies, Altar-ego, Billions of dollars, running a company etc.)
I'd suggest joining a Faction once you've learned more about Torn and then they can take you under their wing.
But just have fun, look around, try new things and all in all, be happy. (literally happiness is key to training in this game.)
So I was scrolling the forums today and I did come accross this post, and I have spent a long time debating whether or not to pass comment given the fact that everyone else who has posted has put their views across (or meme's.)
The way I see it is that "sex" has always sold. It dates back to BC. Now whether exploiting the digital platforms on offer in today's society is "morally" correct to try and appeal to the wider community of a different platform (Torn) is a different matter entirely.
This thread was not made by the "targeted" "poser" (I use them words as there is no clear indiciation as of yet as to whether the female within the images is or is not the owner of the account.)
Nevertheless, the "targeted" account within this thread to my knowledge has not tried to gain an advantage within the game and really we have to ask why on earth did we spend so long reading this thread and why on earth have you spent 3 minutes trying to unfold this reply?
It really doesn't matter. No rules have been broken and it's the internet, people aren't whom they say they are (as a golden rule) when they use a digitial alias.
On a more positive note - if the model within the images would like, I'd be willing to host a 1 on 1 interview with them at a time of their convenience... for education purposes as to whether or not... well you get the jist of it....

I can't see them being much use, just like a quest on an MMORPG - you use an item and either get that item as a reward, or the reward strongly outweighs the item being used? to some extent!?
