So, now that things have died down somewhat, perhaps I can tell my side of the story for what it's worth. Although I've stayed out of the discourse contained in this thread, I have spoken with a few of the players posting here such that I can clarify some points and defend my name.
Maxx1628 is a scammer. This isn't news. Scamming is a part of the game, it's scummy and takes a certain kind of person to do it, but it's allowed. I was trade-cancel mugged by maxx. He didn't realise that he was a guest member of a private Discord group where he was called out on his actions in front of people he considered friends. This is where it escalated. Discord is not Torn and there are different rules. Over the course of several hours maxx insulted several nationalities, the armed forces, my sexuality and the life choices of adults far more experienced in life than he is. We played with him during all of this. Maxx exaggerates his life tI o a point where it is hard to take him seriously. No one has a problem with this, it's the internet, why not exaggerate? The yachts that he was posting and claiming were great! The weren't his though. He didn't like it when it was called out that the pictures were of different yachts, one in California and the other in Tasmania. So, I continued calling him out. Instead of admitting everything, having a laugh and moving on, he stepped up his offensive tirades on everything and everyone - including my friend's children. He was asked to back off and apologise multiple times. In an attempt to make him realise that everyone knew he's a liar, I used a tool to find his accounts on other sites and posted the results in Discord. Nothing posted was private. All the information is accessible through a standard search on Google.
Perhaps I shouldn't have called him out. He reported my Discord account, which is still disabled, an account with years of conversations with friends across many games. He's then created this thread in order to quote people out of context so that he can create drama and bring attention onto himself.
Maxx1628 is the very definition of toxicity within a community, he's managed to manipulate many of you into believing his stories. That's all they are - stories.
