Hello all! As today is currently Funky Monkey Friday (for PST, anyway!) I believe it is time for gift-giving and primate appreciation in honor of the weekly holiday.
The rules for Monkey Mania go as follows: - Participants may share any number of primate-related pictures, facts, and memes to support our fun-loving anthropoids. - That is all.
At the coming of every Funky Monkey Friday I will be giving out prizes of varying value to a participant that I deem to have provided the most bananular content. This will continue until either the thread dies or I go broke. The first prize for the coming Funky Monkey Friday is 5,000 Banana Orchids. These typically hover at around $12k value per orchid but as of recently the prices have spiked to around $15k so this prize is currently worth around $75 million.
While the title is "Monkey Mania" all primate-related content is appreciated and encouraged. I will begin with the following:
- Gorillas all have type B blood! (B for banana?) - Male capuchin monkeys will urinate in their hands and rub it into their fur to attract a female partner.
Throwback to when Soleimani was killed and all Trump did afterward was throw up the set on Twitter. Shit was hilarious when the comments on social media were flooded with Iranian flags.
Happened like an hour ago as of the creation of this forum post. Hong Kong’s autonomy is going to be nearly nonexistent, although Chinese officials are arguing that common life in Hong Kong will not be changed.
The accusation is that these companies are using their exceptional power within the industry to drive up meal prices for consumers due to the heavily increased amount of orders, which from what seems to be what we can see isn’t very far from the truth, if it is far from it at all. Many of these delivery services have yet to increase their pay for their employees too (ik DoorDash allows its runners to keep the tips, which is a step forward), but it’s not like the workers are getting any bonus from these companies working to drive up prices.
I am interested to see how the lawsuit will go. It’d be nice to see the companies hit for this frankly immoral behavior.
Hello all, I have somewhat recently started a PC / Epic Games crossplay ARK: SE server with some friends and fellow faction members. We have an active player base of around seven players right now and we are looking to populate the server some more and get some more tribes up for the sake of competition.
Taming / XP / Resources are boosted 2x. The server is PvP. It is named "NAZ SERVER" which you can find via searching on the "unofficial" filter. Epic Games doesn't always find the server easily via the search bar but using the following command while in singleplayer or on a non-dedicated can bring you to the server as well:
"open [IP address removed]:27315"
If you are interested in hopping in, feel free to send me a message so that I can more easily get a gauge of the player count.

I'll typically vote fours for most generic entries and jump to a 8-10 for anything with comedic value. The entry from QuietSilence is a pretty nice example for a high rating.

I am heavy on ETH & ADA at the moment along with a little in BTC and XLM but my focus is on ETH / ADA. I’ve also just recently gotten off the waiting list for staking ETH so I’ll likely stake it and hold until ETH2. I’ve thus far put in around $4,500 into my crypto portfolio and I’m likely stopping there as I’m way too heavy on it right now. Probably going to move on to less speculative investments. I made some good profit on Target & NVIDIA shares (although I sold Target way too soon lol) and most of the money in my crypto portfolio is from the wins on those two.
This sort of behavior by any nation is errant and culpable. I was honesty not aware of that particular stunt although iirc I was 11 or 10 at the time so it never crossed my mind. I looked into it further and saw that Iran is also guilty of a similar incident in 2010, while the US likewise took part in another one in 1985.
Admittedly I’m more understanding to what happened in 1985 given that those detained from the plane took part in a cruise liner hijacking that killed an American. In regards to Iran, I know little about Abdolmalek Rigi so I can’t say much there.

This sets a really dangerous precedent if Belarus gets away with it without significant reprimands. An authoritarian state having the freedom to essentially hijack a commercial flight and detain someone within is not aligned with anyone’s interests. Lord forbid Russia or China get any ideas if Belarus sets the bar and gets off scot free. Thus far, the European Union has agreed to impose more sanctions, which will hopefully send the proper message to the Belarusian government.
The US & UK have accused Russia of launching a satellite that could release an object that would target other satellites. As the article notes, this is the first time that the US has accused Russia of doing such a thing, surprisingly enough. Russia’s excuse is that it was an inspector satellite, although the US Space Command further claims that there were inconsistencies regarding the stated purpose as an inspector satellite. It’s interesting to see Russia continue to hold on to relevancy despite their comparatively poor economy, although I definitely don’t see Russia as one of the nations that will come out on top of the STEM race.
