Cookie run! I have been playing Ovenbreak for a bit less than 2 months and I have started playing Kingdom with my SO like 2 weeks ago. Kingdom is heavily pay2win but u can still grind to be viable in ranked and it's quite fun in general. Ovenbreak is a bit more fair since your skills matter and it's possible to beat whales.

If u want a mobile game with tons of content I highly recommend both games!

So I have been wanting to post here for a while but I was hesitant because I was not quite sure what would be my top 5. It was def fun to think about and though my conclusions do not really follow the rules but I really wanted to talk about it so I am posting my answers!

1. Secret of Mana Series (SoM2, SoM3, Legend of Mana)
My childhood game, lots of nostalgia. These games have amazing music that I still clearly remember after years although I haven't played them for a while. The gameplay is rather simple hack and slash but they have heartwarming stories, and SoM3 is especially a nice game since it has 6 main characters and you get to pick 3 of them to play the game. It also has a class change system (you can pick only one route for each character and can't change back) and the story changes a bit depending on which main character you pick so you get to go through the game multiple times. Kevin from SoM3 was my first male video game crush lol I haven't tried the remakes yet (Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana and they are making the remake of Legend of Mana atm) but I might try them out once they become super cheap on steam.

2. Souls Series (Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demon's Souls) + Hollow Knight (Not Souls Series but it's like a cute 2D Dark Souls)
Bloodborne needs to come to PC. Everyone wants the port lol I enjoyed the game from the beginning to the end, and died a lot. But it's a nice feeling when you finally learn and play well enough to beat bosses. And although I did not really like Sekiro at first (mostly bc enemies guard your attack a lot and you also have to parry rather than dodging, which is quite opposite of bloodborne), I gave it a shot again after some time and that time the game clicked for me. The gameplay was quite different from other souls games but I got to like it after a while and sekiro actually has lots of cool and unique bosses, and even a nice story. It has lots of beautiful places too and it actually made me appreciate my own culture lol

3. It Takes Two
Another GOTY game like Sekiro, and once I played it I got to know why it was GOTY after like 15minutes of gameplay. This game is hilarious, I absolutely love playing it with my SO. You need two ppl to play this game but you only need one copy of the game. Me and my SO have played it for about 7 hours so far and the game is still going, so it's decently a long game too and it feels like we did quite a lot already, they put a lot of details in each stage and its quite fun to look around. This game is like $20 on sale and my SO bought the game for me but if I had bought the game myself I'd 100% say it was the best 20$ I have ever spent. Also the best thing about this game is that you respawn almost right away after you die so it's completely stress free, and I died for fun in this game countless times lol

4. Games I play daily: Genshin Impact, League of Legends, Torn
You can't really say they are the best games ever made, but I play those games with my SO and friends almost every day. And they are entertaining enough to make me wanna come back and have fun each day, so I had to put them here. (Also games I played daily in the past: Diablo 3, World of Warcraft Classic, and Monster Hunter World. I read someone talking about playing a priest on WoW here and I also played a human priest in classic, did all the raids and it was quite fun experience, especially Naxx and AQ)

5. Games that went viral: Doki Doki Literature Club, Undertale, Stardew Valley + Untitled Goose Game
Games that are worth playing once(or twice) if you have not. DDLC is a horror VN that's rather funny (if you are used to horror games), Undertale is a game that has Sans Undertale from Undertale, which has Sans Undertale. Great characters and great music. And I loved Stardew Valley too, for I have loved harvest moon series (especially harvest moon 64). That game really made me feel like I was playing Harvest Moon again, really well made game. I will def check out ConcernedApe's next game Haunted Chocolatier too. And Untitled Goose Game is another funny game to remote play with your friend.


Other games I wanna mention: Final Fantasy Series (FFX and 9), Dragon Quest Series (especially 5 and 7), RE2 Remake
I know most of ppl's favorite FF is 7 and I kept saying that I will try it out once they make the remake but I still haven't tried it yet lol I will def have to play it at one point. I love both X and 9's stories. We don't talk about X-2. Dragon Quest 5 makes you cry, it's well known for that in Japan and I also cried so much playing this game lol DQ7 is considered kinda weird as the series but I loved it, mostly bc I loved the main heroine Maribel. She's rather mean and quite funny to talk to during the battle. And RE2 Remake was so well made, I didn't really play the original so it was rather a new experience for me and I got quite scared here and there lol Wish I was better at shooting tho :(

I love bloodborne and sekiro so I'm quite eager to try out elden ring too. I'll buy it right away if the steam version has trading cards, and if not I might wait till steam spring or summer sale

I got Hu Tao and Itto but I'm starting to get a bit bored of the game lol I'm close to hitting AR58 tho, if anyone is on NA and wants to be friends let me know!

Hopefully Shenhe and Yae can get me back in the game, also Ningguang skin for Chinese New Year <3
