I just absolutely love collecting Dumbbells. There's just something about them that really gets me going. Their inaccessibility to newer players, the way they make everyone salivate, the despair on the faces of those who've invested in awareness. The absolute beauty of their sprite, and the way the silver metal absolutely overflows with sheen and lustre. The grind to be able to use them effectively, and when you get there, hoo boy it's pure elation. That feeling of relief, after hundreds of xanax, after countless hours spending energy, and there you are using an SE. You grin as you pump iron, your muscles groaning under the weight, knowing that you're outrunning anyone who said you'd never make it.

Well, it finally happened. After almost a week straight of nonstop fighting, the Firestarters have stopped.

From the first hour, we were targeted heavily. Hell, we never even saw 100+ tickets again - but we kept going. Jean Therapy, Satant's Soldiers, Laughing Stock and Dirty cops - every time someone was on the bottom, they were butting heads with us. 3 and a half teams is damn good!
Unfortunately, due to a mix of internal politics and burnout, we couldn't keep it up forever, and here we are. Honestly, most members knew we were done when Laughing Stock went down, and we were still sitting on 15 lives, but we took on the mentality of not going down without a fight. We were here to cause chaos and f**k s**t up, and that we did. With Dirty Cops now sitting at 30 tickets, we hope our efforts were enough to take them down with us. Sorry ;)
I speak on leadership's behalf when I say that I'm extremely proud of all of you. Everyone who made hits, who made pushing possible, who MADE US THE #1 OUTGOING HITS TEAM IN ELIMINATION! Especially those in leadership, council and helpers, who took the time out of their lives to lead pushes, negotiate alliances and rally the team.
Special thanks to Jairyll, Badwolf0691 and Lasloa, who were always making chat fun; YellowFlash, who covered my ass during some laggy pushes; and SmallSplat, king of motivation.
I hope all of you enjoyed elims this year despite our placement, and those of you new to it learnt a thing or two. I hope to see all of you next year when we go for first!
Firestarters out.

I'm not twisting your words at all, you're being intentionally inflammatory. You didn't explicitly say "I hate the gays" because that'd get you forum banned. But if you want a more direct answer to your burning question, sure.
Why do we have to tell people about our identity? It's because homophobia and ignorance is still rampant. While most lgbtiq+ folks won't introduce themselves with their identity, because that'd be absurd, it's often told through things like hair dye and styles, pride merch, introducing your pronouns (which is extremely important and SHOULD be introduced with your name) etc. I personally wear a pansexuality pride pin on my apron at the cafe I work at. I wear it not because I have a pressing need to tell everybody how I swing, but because I want to promote a safe space. We get a lot of queer folk through, all of which are always kind and lovely. I've never got complaints and most people just ignore it, but for those one or two people it means a lot.
And yes, it's still important for the queer movement to have a voice. We've made huge strides since the 60's and hiding your identity, but anti-lgbt sentiment is still strong. In Australia, a developed country, the referendum to allow same sex marriage only received 66% approval.
That's why.

I don't really know how to use image editing software well, but I wanted to get the concept out there lol. Anyone's free to nab the idea :P
edit: and here's one with a name because I'm stupid and didn't read all the rules

I try to avoid the forums like the plague ever since the misery that was the enby and pride month threads, but goddamn I am glad I took a look at this one.
Torn's always gonna have it's Patients, Chingaderas and King108s, but I'm so happy to see my homies over on the gold end of the rainbow come out and make their voice heard. A special thank you to all the allies in here <333

And as explained over dms I had no indication that action was taken as a warning isn't public. From my end they'd continued for a couple days at least. Once again, my problem is that the rules are not enforced equally, and it's bigger than this one person. Just look at the shitshow that was the pride month thread last year. Sure you got the worst and most blatant assholes, but plenty of people walked away harm free
My point is not that I was expecting a response, it's that inaction is disappointing and the line is blurred.
My point stands. I was harassed for my image with some interesting threats and enough personal insults to fill an Olympic pool, in pms. Nothing came of it.
I genuinely want to respect the staff team, it's not easy regulating a community like this, I just want the lines to be clear. Because frankly if the current moderation stance was what was written down I'd quit on the spot

Over Mr/Miss Torn this year I was openly harassed by multiple people. Not subtly. Every single report was dismissed without so much as a reason.
I get that staff won't change - if they actually enforced the discrimination rules half the playerbase would disappear overnight. But, it would be nice if they reworded the actual rules so that it was more specific, so that what's banned is actually enforced and not just "when they feel like it"

Crazy that when I answered your question you defaulted to "get stuffed".
I really don't want to interact with you anymore, so this is the last thing I'll say - your opinion is supressive, there is no "problem" that needs solving, people turn on you because you're being a prick. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a date with my boyfriend <3
