Easter Egg bug:Eggs appearing off-screen on 4k res · · 2 likes

I'm using a 4K monitor to view torn, and eggs spawning far enough on the right side of the screen end up spawning outside of the viewable area due to how the div is written. This can result in people with large monitors missing their eggs completely, and has probably led to a skewing of the overall results (at least for those who do not have scripts running to find eggs).

Screenshots below are taken at multiple browser widths to show it moving off the visible area. FF is not zoomed in or out, and of course since this is regarding an egg on the screen, there is no way to test it in another browser. I have a video of this in action taken via iPhone, which I can try to upload as well, but I think the below shots are likely enough to understand the issue at hand and how it affects large screen resolutions.

Egg fully off the screen after making the browser window wide enough. This is just over half the screensize of a 4k monitor:

I just had a string of 11 attacks, all within 5 minutes, but no chain was reported for my faction. The end result showed as 5, and we're unsure as to why this was not logged as a chain. I'm not a recruit in the faction, and no chain was on cooldown during this set of attacks.
I'll attach a screenshot that shows 10 of the attacks (1 was after this that cannot be seen, but all 11 take place within 1 minute, 51 seconds).

Reporting as bug, as we cannot figure why this was not counted.

Same issue here as well (on a 4k monitor), and I added more detailed information with screenshots here (closed as duplicate):

TornTools didn't seem to be changing anything at all with the div or causing it to move; there is likely a calculation issue with left positioning of the egg's div in high resolutions (resizing to about over 1080 wide, mine slid out of the viewable area). I have a video taken from iPhone of how the browser dynamically treated the situation while drag re-sizing the browser window if that helps, but this is likely easily identified and resolved by looking at the code generating the egg div.

Easter Egg bug:Eggs appearing off-screen on 4k res ·

After doing some more forum searching, this appears to be a duplicate of the following report:
"easter eggs no apering in full screen" (https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=19&t=16270803&b=0&a=0)

There seems to be mention of TT covering up eggs with panels, but this clearly not the case in the majority of these problems (those due to screen size calculations placing the eggs outside the viewable area). TornTools also does not edit the egg/competition div at all, so whether torntools is active or not doesn't matter in these cases (it may in the case that the egg is under a panel, but not in those due to large screen widths).

And of course, the egg went rotten as I was taking these screenshots and documenting the bug. Any way to get that back, since eggs are not supposed to disappear anyway?
