The Return of a 6-Year Ghost! (Clarification Inside)
What's up, Torn?
I just logged in for the first time in nearly six years. My account age shows over 2,000 days, but to clarify for those roasting me in the replies: I only played for about a week when I first made this account, and I didn't survive long before quitting. That is exactly why I am back now with a 6-year-old profile but completely fresh, low-level stats!
Coming back today feels like stepping out of a bunker after a nuclear blast.
Here is a breakdown of my absolute confusion so far:
• Crimes 2.0?: I went to look for my old crime setup and now I'm apparently searching trash cans, slipping on ice, and trying not to get arrested by a digital cop for stealing a wallet.
• Ranked War Weapons Extravaganza: Why does everyone have glowing orange and red weapons now? Back in my day, we bought a standard Armalite or Dual Melees and called it a career. Now people are talking about "weapon bonuses" and "quality percentages" like we're playing World of Warcraft.
• My Net Worth: I checked my bank and properties. Let's just say if inflation hit Torn City like it hit the real world, my net worth is basically the equivalent of a single wet tissue paper.
I'm basically a Level 1 player trapped in a 6-year-old account body. My battle stats are ancient, my old faction is long gone, and I am entirely lost.
To the veterans who stayed: What is the single biggest piece of advice you'd give to someone who missed half a decade of updates? Is Xanax still the currency of life, or are we all doing something else now?
Hit me with your best tips, or drop a comment if you remember the old days. It's good to be back in the gutter.
TL;DR: Account is 6 years old, but I only active-played for 1 week back then. Logged back in today to a completely different game. Everything is new and I'm ready to learn the ropes. Please send help (or Xanax).
