I could agree with you to some extent. I received 3 enemies just few hours back and I didn't do anything at all except asking questions in New Players chat. Till now, 5 people attempted to attack me for no apparent reason. Only 2 of them succeed.

But anyhow my factionmates & boss are nice. They really extending their hands to help me progressing in the game. So I'd advise you to just find some small circle of friends that is willing to help you and you are set to go.
