I bought and equipped a Skorpion, blew someone away and then re-equipped my original weapon before noticing that I was supposed to do 6. I already had a Skorpion and couldn't remember which one I'd just bought, so I tried them both, but neither increased my count of people attacked. It's as though by unequipping the weapon it forgets that I'm still doing the mission.
