I'm sure there are better guides out there but this is my guide!
What this is not.
This is not a fast leveling guide
This is not an all inclusive guide just some tips from my first 60 days of play
1st don't stress about gaining levels or money! It's a game! Enjoy it :D
2nd you will be mugged and mugged again. Don't stress it's part of the game. Play it safe and only keep $100,000-$200,000 on your person and add any extra to the bank on a weekly basis. Keep items as currency! I can't stress this enough. You may lose some investment by buying and reselling but its a lot better than having millions on your person and having a big chunk stolen and wanting to rage quit...ask me how I know.
2.1nd Casino. I have a love hate relationship with it. Don't spend more than you are willing to lose! anymore i only do the $10 slots hoping to hit a jackpot and once they are open to you the Wheel of Lame and Wheel Of mediocrity. The potental gain from the wheel of medicoaty is huge. Ive been choked out 6 times and landed on villa twice. since they are worth just shy of 1mill I consider it a good use of 50k.
2.2nd Property. Speaking of the Villa we should talk property. Renting is absolutly the way to go. Mansions are cheap and offer a good bonus to happy over a trailer or apartment. I do keep a few properties just to have fast access to cash. If your money is in the bank then you are waiting X days for it. If its in a faction bank you have to contact someone to get it. Until you get a property with a safe its easiest to keep money in items. Lastly once you save enough I would suggest Getting a Palace. It is a good jump from renting a mansion in terms of Happy level and offers a Vault upgrade. This Is where I am currently at and Plan to Save for the Large Vault and then the Private Island. It is so nice to have A vault and throw an extra $40,000 or more in when you get ready to travel.
2.3nd Bank. My current plan and most logical IMO to gain money is to keep adding money to the bank up to about 1 Bill. (The limit is 2Bill) I believe this will allow me to get the PI and Additions i would want but will research more and update this accordingly.
3rd Factions. You may or maynot want to join a faction. They absolutly have their perks but some require you to do certain things such as chain and Organized Crime. If I could go back I would not have joined a faction yet.
4th Traveling. Before traveling at all I recomend getting a Suitcase. Yes they are costly but since you use it every time you travel it will pay for itself. They do not stack so go with Medium or Large if you can afford it. If you can get in with a Flower shop or Toy shop those can have the benifit of carrying extra items if it has been unlocked. I wont tell you what to buy or where to fly other than this. I plan a Johanasburg flight each night for Lion Plushies. I will Start flying there 5ish hours before I plan to go to bed. So the last thing I do before bed is land buy my 8 Lions and fly back.You can be more proactive with shorter flights if you choose. Another thing to keep in mind is training at the Gym. You will loose out on some energy and Nerve you could have used doing the longer flights.
5th The Gym. I would Recomend putting most of your energy into training at the gym. Just log on and Train each of the 4 areas down to 25 energy depending on if you have a mission to do or want to attack for the experience gain. The Gym gains work with your Happy bar. Eating Candy can boost your Happy but as a Casual player I just Rent or buy the best property and Train more than travel. Yes there are Happy Jumps and I plan to start doing a mild version of them soon.
6th Other things to do in Torn. Racing is available as well as the stock market and Hunting. I have only put a little time into racing and the stock market and have not gotten to hunting yet. I See these as extra things to do if you have the time. At level 16 I am focused on Other aspects of the game. Education Courses which I will talk about next and Wealth.
7th Education. I think I got lucky when I found this game this time of year. Christmas going on has allowed me to gain wealth and New years I am able to do a reset of merits. I will go over merits in another section. As far as education go for what you want! If you want to attack people then focus on courses that help with passive bonuses like psycology or physical fitness. Do you want to heal people? go medical. I myself am going for Hacker/Stealth Assasin. Not doing very good so far LOL.
8th Merits. Like Education merits are there to focus the goals of your character. All I will say is that I recomend putting some points into Education to shorten the class times. Again its your choice. you could go all stealth and critical hits or go for awareness and take the history classes to try and find rare items in the city. It really is open to they type of character you want to play.

Good Casual guide. Better than mine for sure. I only disagree with one thing. Using points for energy refill is not a good deal. 25 points is equal to #1,125,000 at $45,000 per point. Selling the points and buying a Xanax saves you $295,000 and gives you 100 more energy.
Of course I could be more casual than most and don't have to worry about taking too much cause I use natural E 99% of the time and Rarely use Xanax other than the occasional Chain in my faction.
Lastly you might want to edit and include a section about merits. Of course everything iv'e said is my opinion. Thanks for a more casual guide that is more complete than my own :P
I plan to cover factions better in my 120 day update. You make some very good points. I have not had the best experience with factions. First one kicked me because we were being attacked and the second one I'm currently in is pretty chill. As a casual player I don't like having to plan my flights around a OC or stack energy for chaining etc but I imagine most factions do this. Yes there are plenty of perks to different factions but I don't know all of the possible perks and didn't want to write about something I didn't know much about. I completely agree that finding a good trader is important. I personally have one in faction and when he is unavailable i go to Brutal. I will be including all of that in my next update as well as the points market and buying a bazaar. I am very thankful for the feedback I have gotten thus far. I will do my best to include all suggestions in the update. If anyone would like to collaborate and edit what I have written and add to or take away that would be cool. I like that this game has so many different avenues you can take. I haven't even touched on the newspaper with its articles and crosswords etc.
