Torn Fact:
Torn City was named in homage to the lost member of ABBA. Agnetha, Anna-Frid, Benny, Bjorn and Torn, Torn was Bjorn’s twin brother and widely known (though never officially declared) responsible for the first instance of Stockholm syndrome when during a bank robbery in 1973 in Stockholm, customers of the bank staged a performance of Mamma Mia while being held hostage by Torn. Torn was unable to perform with the band following his arrest. His brother Bjorn would later compose the song Money, Money Money in reference to the failed robbery. Torn served a 10 year sentence for the robbery, gaining his freedom 2 years after ABBA had split up.
And that’s the reason why “Torn” is “the name of the game”.
