When I was a new director in this game, I got some great advice from older players. I've successfully run several companies now (sweet shop, restaurant, game shop). It's time for me to pay it forward. Now that PSFs are starting to get unloaded, there's a need for more company diversity and opportunities for new players. A few of us are going to work together to make this happen.
We're willing to invest up to $15m each for a new player to become a director of their own business. We will start the business and fully upgrade it (up to $15m), then hand it over to the new player. We're investing in new directors only - this is not for established directors.

Here's the deal.
We will provide: purchase of company, upgrade, mentorship, guidance. Within reason, we will provide some starting capital and help with recruiting.
Our expectations from you... you agree to provide:
a limited access API key so I can follow your company reports.
join my discord server
follow my instructions (even if it means hiring a low stat employee to give them a chance)
be active daily to run the company (and it helps with company performance)
read the information available to directors (I'll post a link to several guides linked in the forums)
work on your business degree and edus (this is vital to growing businesses to 10*
be patient with me as I've got several companies and RL to manage
We also ask that you don't leave the game unexpectedly and don't sell the company without discussing with us first (I'll probably be the one to negotiate it anyway). If you are running into challenges, needing to fire an active employee, or thinking about selling the company, please work with us directly. We're working with several companies and directors so we might be able to negotiate the transitions for you.
Benefit to you:
guaranteed 50/50/50 daily work stats for being director
learning to run a company with guidance and resources
as director, your drug intake and working stats do not matter at all
company bank to store money (if you don't have a PI with vault)
Full disclosure to new directors.... Some downsides include: you do not get daily pay and you cannot be trained as company director. that's just part of it. So if you are looking to get trains or daily pay, this is not the opportunity for you. As a company director, you WILL LOSE money at first. until the company is at a point where it can sell trains or make a profit, it's just going to lose money every day. But, stick with it and manage it well and you can make money. There's also money to be made by selling the company at some point.
We will expect to recover my initial startup investment (10-15m), plus half the profit from the sale of the company if/when we sell it. You can buy us out of my equity any time you want (the initial $10-15m investment plus half the company value over 15m). You keep any daily profits and income from sold trains.

But, what to put in the place?? Let's look at one example that might actually benefit some players and a relatively easy personal perk that could be added. Psychology 2680 description says "Nintendo weren't joking when they said you had to train your brain. Regain your youthful awareness with this course." ... the perk for PSY2680 is "Gain a 10% increase to awareness"
Here is my proposal for the perk changes: Move Gamer perk to 1* (because it's fun for some players willing to burn energy to gain happiness. Reduce the number of job points needed for Early release (the amount of money for early release is so pitiful that it's not worth 100 job points). And add an awareness-related (or DEX related) passive perk at 5*

EDIT: I was originally suggesting 50 job points for the Early Release. But as I talked to more people I realize that was still too high. the payout is only 700k or so (at least the time I tested it). So I feel 15 JPs is better. That also helps the smaller younger players likely to join 3* companies so they can get a little cash and make the lower end of these company perks better for smaller players. 700k every 5 days is not too unreasonable. if 15 is too low, than 25? But definitely 100 JPs for 700k is the wrong balance.
You can work on this as you go, but it is a good idea to have at least some of these done before you start.

But, I do think you should join a faction. Not someone you dislike, obviously. But get in a good faction that has training perks, friends, and faction resources.
