June Pride Event · · 3 likes

I'm super happy you suggested this, because I was going to do the same. June is very empty for events and even if we were just given a Pride Day, I think it would go over extremely well. Cocktails, new clothing, pride flags, everything that OP posted would mesh so well with what we already have in Torn.

Wheel of Awesome: winning the private island? · · 2 likes

I don't have the throw away cash for the wheal of awesome yet but I just won the Villa today and gifted it to my wife. My second time ever spinning the wheel. So all in all, I have high hopes for that Private Island.

Broad, heavily muscled shoulders sagged underneath the weight of the new world as icy crystalline eyes stared off into the darkness. Veiled, stationary shapes merged into the obscurity of shadows but as long as the outlines didn’t move there was no threat and for that Shivati was grateful.

“You know,” Mister Google quacked out in a high-pitched whisper that squeaked ever so slightly when he lowered his voice further. “You really need to get us some food, just look at my pudge, it’s getting’ smaller. I’m practically wasting away over here.” A tiny yellow flipper patted the bulge that made up its small pink midsection, rolling the nubby bits of soft fabric that were the doll’s feet Shivati continued to manipulate the toy in her hands while she talked to herself through the duck-like plush. “You gotta eat too. I know it’s really scary out there but we gotta keep trying. Besides I’m your buddy, I won’t let anything bad happen to you, we protect each other. Now, gimme a kiss and pack me up, we gotta go get something delicious.”

A whimper mewled from the back of the tall-brunette’s throat as her voice cracked into a watery pitch at the tail end of Mister Google’s words, Shivati knew it was pathetic, pretending that the stupid little creature was real, that he somehow gave her strength but she couldn’t help how she felt. Shutting her eyes hard the young woman lifted the toy to her face and pushed against the soft fabric, she choked out in a slurred whisper against the fuzzy underside of his stomach and muffled the sob she felt overwhelming her. Dampness and grief spilled onto the tiny pink-fellow yet the stuffed-animal didn’t seem to mind, his small rounded black eyes shimmered with what little light filtered between the buildings and shone onto the fire escape where they stood; she needed him so of course he didn’t mind after all that was his job, stuffed animals were invented to comfort children and protect them from the bumps in the night. He was trying his very best but the nights were so very long now even during the day the nights were so long but he was trying.

Several breathless moments passed, followed by erratic sniffling and long inhales of air between parted lips before Shivati uncoiled from the travel companion and leveled off her hitched breathing and occasional tears. “You’re right, Mister Google. You’re right. We can’t just wait here; we’ve got to get something to eat before we both lose our stamina. Alright, we need to think first though. Should we try our luck at a store or should we try to go through the residential buildings and look for supplies. There might be squatters or… those things.” Trailing off hoarsely Shivati lifted Mister Google up to her face once again and spared a wan smile, the lopsided grin felt foreign to her facial muscles but correct just the same, pale lips pressed against the fuzzy beak of the toy and audibly made a pucker noise as she planted a kiss on the keepsake. Deft hands made quick work of stowing her pink friend into the safest pouch of her backpack before securing the rest of her belongings. Mister Google had been right, she needed to focus on finding food even candies or cough drops would do at this point, she couldn’t be choosy. Sagged shoulders rolled back into place, straightened, squared, even with her flat-chest and readied for the climb that she would make up the fire-escape on to the roof so that she could get a better grasp of what direction to head out in but first she needed to stop shaking and get the feelings back in her legs before any of that was possible.
