Unsure if this was suggested prior, but eff it. I'm gonna say it.
With the adjustment to the Point Shop costs for refills and everything else, I want to petition Ched to also adjust the points given out on Spin the Wheel. This adjustment would primarily be for the Wheel of Awesome.
On that wheel (just to cover the nuanced bases here folks), you can score 5, 25, or 100 points. These values are equivalent to a fraction (1/5) of a refill, 1 refill, then 4 refills respectively under the old costs.
The petition would be simple: Adjust the values of points awarded to reflect the costs of refills they could pay for. On that wheel, point values can be 5 (because let's face it, Leslie's still going to screw ya over), 30 points, and 120 points. This may not amount to a whole lot, but it would satiate the joy of knowing you can still garner enough points for refills on that riggedtotally fair and legitimate wheel.
Alrighty gang, a rather cheesy (pun intended) complaint about Elims I think a lot of us can relate to.
So here's the scenario: You and your team are busting your collective chops, balls, and logs of cheese (last pun, I swear) trying to fight for the top spot. You notice in your opponents teams players sitting with 0 hits for the ENTIRE competition. However, this isn't isolated to one team... it's all the teams, your team included.
While I wish all players best of luck... I mean... why drag the dead weight? Yes, there's an option to leave early, but that's a manual option, and some people want to ride it out instead.
SO! HERE IS MY SUGGESTION!!!
So... you're gonna be that player. Coasting on the coattails of your hard fighting allies and friends who just the week prior were at each other's throats to now new people's throats for the prize of being the best team in Torn City. Suddenly, you get a notification. Not an attack or a trade. The first 3 days of Eliminations couldn't have gone better, until you see this...
"You have been removed from your team due to inactivity. You will not receive any rewards from this competition."
Suddenly, you remember HeavyBrony's post. You get removed from Eliminations for not participating for 3 days (72 hours). Oh... you weep tears of sadness knowing your team will carry on without your help even though you weren't providing any. Oh, the memes you'll miss in the forums and Discord channels even though they were cringe. Woe is you player, for enlisting in an optional competition only to not contribute.
I recognize this isn't a perfect suggestion, but it's one I think the community as a whole would support. If it doesn't, I'll consider it a Swiss (cheese) and a miss.
While I can not speak on behalf of the entirety of the Torn City player base, I think I can speak for a good portion. I want to express my gratitude for the countless hours behind the scene everyone, from helpers to the community manager to even developers, put into this. I also want to state that I will be candid in this letter and I don't intend to hide my true thoughts. What you're getting is my cold, honest, and (maybe) painful opinion on the state of Trick or Treat.
This year was crap. Worse than that, if I'm being honest. I've been playing Torn City as an active player for over 3 and a half years, and this event... this event in particular, always shows just how painful it can be for the players.
Let me be clear: I have no intention to quit playing Torn City. I've put a lot into it, and I want to put more into it.
Every Trick or Treat is riddled with the same problems: too many players engaging the server in super-hectic blood baths to squeeze enough treats to give the world diabetes and complete loss of teeth. I think this event in particular, put that in the spotlight. To put it generously, it feels like the developers really, REALLY underestimated just how many players (including I) are basically idiotic enough to rush M'aol when he opened up. This also didn't just affect those trying to get the super-overpowered (and person opinion: broken) new items from M'aol and co., but it affected other players who frankly either couldn't or wouldn't care less because they were focused on chaining. Then add a Dirty Bomb on top of that? That was just the cherry on top.
We, as players, hope to see the staff learn from this. Perhaps next year, we put the servers on metaphorical steroids. Reduce just how slow and lag-induced the start of this event always is. Perhaps add a queue for NPC fights. Full fight? No problem, join the fight and take a number. Someone loses, times out, or stalemate? Perfect, you're in!
In conclusion, I was to ask the Torn City populi to refrain from harassing the dev team... at least for the next couple of weeks. And... I ask the Torn Devs to take this week as a severely needed learning opportunity.

I'm currently posting this with TornTools enabled.
Issue: I placed a bookie bet on the Queens University Royals vs. West Georgia Wolves in Basketball. The bet was on the -10 Asian Handicap for the Royals. In the bookie, it's showing both the Asian Handicap bet and the full event. At first, I was confused namely because I didn't recall placing a bet on the full event, just the AH. This might causeconfusion like I experienced tonight. I pulled up my account on Microsoft Edge (Version 133.0.3065.82 (Official build) (64-bit)) to confirm this issue didn't appear due to TornTools (which I have on Firefox Version 135.0.1 (64-bit)).
Perhaps remove the full event outcome if a player didn't exactly bet on it? I'm unsure if this is a bug or issue, but I want to raise awareness at minimum to help relieve any potential future confusion.

I will say, despite the STEEP learning curve, and some of the random BS encounters, I absolutely LOVE this map. Legend of Zelda has a place in my heart because Ocarina of Time was the first game I’ve ever owned, and the fact you made this as a map brought a literal smile and chuckle to me. Thank you for your time to this map, and I hope everyone makes you a helluva lot richer after this.

I will say as someone who does medieval combat LARP, this is true… idk how some people have actual furs to wear, I can really only afford a couple outfits. We don’t talk about my weapon collection (and what I need to repair)
