Thoughts? I based the stats off of some other melees, but are they... decent? I chose a golf club because there's already a lot of sport equipment as melees, ranging from baseball bats to cricket bats. So, a golf club seemed like it would fit in. I'll edit this as needed. As always, leave a like and a bump if this sounds cool.

I wrote this before golf clubs ever existed in Torn, but as of Page Five, a golf club item has actually been released. However, this may or may not be a melee, so this suggestion will now be a campaign to turn the golf club item into a useable melee. As of now, it's currently unusable and unreleased, and currently assigned to the "Other" category, with an empty description.

I just came back from a year long hiatus a few weeks ago.
Back when I was active, one of my flying pastimes was reading through the newspaper's comics. One of my favorite artists at the time was slockins101, who has sadly since passed away.
So imagine my surprise when I opened up the newspaper today and saw this?????

Obviously it's not slockins, so how tf did it get there?? Turns out some random newb (Rx_Kurxy) straight up ripped slockins' comic and submitted it as their own work (if you don't believe it's slockins' check his gallery)

This is an incredibly shitty thing to do and it's extremely disrespectful.
However, in addition to being shitty on the plagiarizer's part, how the f**k did this get past the reviewal phase??? You'd think that with an extremely well known artist with a very unique/distinct style and very recognizable OC's it'd be an easy catch. I'm sure that literally anyone who read the comics from like 2021-2023 would immediately recognize a slockins comic, ESPECIALLY the newspaper staff. But apparently not; so long as it looks good, it's accepted and awarded.
And then I clicked on the recent economist's article and saw this shit

Look familiar? I thought so too, so I went digging. Turns out, this comic was actually created like 3 years ago by Mayne_00, but was ripped and resubmitted by WhiteFox060428. (however, the art style of this one isn't too recognizable so I can understand this one being missed)

But still; the plagiarized copy not only passed the reviewal stage but won an economist's award??????
And I'm sure there's been many more that've gone unnoticed. Imo this is completely unacceptable; it's completely disrespectful to the original artists and these plagiarizers are getting rewarded with merits and cash for literally ripping old comics and resubmitting them.
There needs to be a major change in how comics are reviewed, otherwise people will just keep plagiarizing comics and submitting them as their own.

ARRESTS HAVE CHANGED POST-CRIMES 2.0. READ HERE.
Originally wrote this for my company, but I couldn't find a similar guide like this in this forum, so posting it here.
The important stuff is in bold. Anything not bolded is just further explanation or clarification.
Detective agencies have a 3* perk to arrest other players. Arrest warrants are put into place when a player has completed a certain (unknown) number of crimes (or made a certain amount of cash) without jail fails, starting at around $10k upwards (I think). Contrary to popular belief, low stats do not prevent you from arresting. There are people with arrest warrants at basically every stat level, some are just worth significantly less than others. This method can be used to find arrest targets almost every time, without the 10* perk. I don't know who originally devised this method, but I figured it'd be easier to make a guide with screenshots. If the images are too small, click on them to enlarge.
1. Go to the Hall of Fame. If it isn't already, set the timeframe to "Weekly positions" or "Daily positions"

2. Click on offenses.

3. Check the positions.

4. Click on the profile of one of the players with green arrows.

5. Evaluate to see if you can beat them. Take a look at their level, their age, their rank, xanax taken, energy refills used, stat enhancers used, etc., and compare it with your profile.
6. Go to their personal statistics and click on the "Jail" tab.

7. Find the "Times jailed" tab.

8. Click on the graph icon and take a look at the graph. Slide your mouse across the graph, as shown, and check their last jail time (this user was last jailed yesterday, on Feb. 19).

If they have been jailed recently, do not waste your energy trying to arrest them. They almost always won't have a warrant. Generally, for weaker targets, I try to arrest people who have been jailed last at least a month ago. Here's what it might look like if they haven't been jailed in a while:

9. If you've done all the above steps, attack them like you would normally, but at the end, click the "ARREST" option, instead of "LEAVE", "MUG", or "HOSPITALIZE". It should look something like this.

2ND EDIT: If you want a most wanted list, DM me and I can get you one for just $3.5M. This list contains the top 20 arrest warrants out currently, though they may not always be within your stat range. These warrants are all usually well over $1M.
