Whenever I refresh or change pages I get the following messages in any of my personal chats with people or in my faction or company chat

"??Unable to send the message, not connected to the server.
??Connecting to the server..."

It lasts for around 10 seconds on average before I can use it again. Sometimes it will take over a minute. I've experienced this problem even before the cloud migration but its lasting longer this time. I already tried power cycling my network hardware at home and it hasn't made any noticeable difference in this issue being resolved.

Sometimes I even get old conversations from 3-7 days ago that shows up in green as if I havent read it. Sometimes when I look in my faction chat, I would see a conversation from 10-12 hours ago and its not up to date.

The strangest thing is that everything else in Torn works perfectly fine, everything loads fine (fast even), but the one thing that has always been broken for me is the in game chat and I've dread having to use it to the point I would ask to speak with people over discord instead.

Factions have leaders and can assign co-leadership to help with other responsibilities to run a faction. But what if a director has to go on vacation or will be busy for a few days and needs someone to buy up inventory stock or use available trains on their employees so they dont go to waste. The company owner/director can assign an assistant manager and help with these responsibilities. They can be given access or not to the company bank, to the owners discretion and just help out as if they were a director themselves.

I didnt know whether it was from the game or TornTools and I'm currently requesting for this thread to be closed. Thanks for confirming it will be fixed at least.

I'm currently posting this with TornTools enabled.

I used to be able to click and hold on another player and a profile box would come up and at the very bottom showed their last action and showed how many hours, minutes, and seconds they were last active for. As of today I dont see this anymore, and I dont know if its been removed on purpose or this was some unforeseen mistake and a update broke it recently.

The problem is fixed 100% and a simple deleting of cache and cookies wasnt enough, heres what I did

On my browser I opened the console by pressing F12 key. Then I went to the storage tab, then local storage, and right clicked torn.com and selected "delete all". It didnt fix it at first but after restarting my PC the problem doesnt persist anymore. I can refresh as much as I want and change pages as much as I want and the error doesnt show up.

The best that I can tell you, whenever I load a new page or refresh, I have to wait 45 seconds to 1 minute. Those error messages will then go away and I can chat again.

It feels like a syncing issue of some sort and its not keeping up to date with the server like it should.

Thats a great question. Given how the game currently works now I dont think 2 roles at the same time is possible, so this assistant manager role would functionally work the same as being a director, and they could hire a temp employee to fill the gap until the director either lets go the temp employee and the assistant manager goes back to what their role was before or keep them onboard and the assistant manager maintains their role.

I spent the majority of my Torn career as just a regular nobody player with a very boring and uninspiring profile that no other player or faction would take seriously. After getting to play the game more and finding my own way I felt the custom art I received captured both my personality and game play habits just perfectly (almost too close)
