I had this similar question a while back and I think I brute forced it since the crimes are listed sequentially (aka working on trust that the ID matches the crime position in the crimes list) That does open it to the potential for inaccuracy if any IDs did get swapped around for whatever reason - so it'd be nice if someone does know a "smart" way to check this via the API directly, but I've included the table of what I had been using. It seemed accurate enough to work for my purposes (e.g. differentiating theft types etc.) Fortunately I was only looking at my own data so it was easy to verify but on a larger scale, yeah. It would be nice to know this table is fully accurate!

Same as Scathe, I've managed to get around this by fully removing TornTools (and it's old data) from FireFox and re-installing. Loses all your previous settings, but should get it working again if others are having the same issue. Firefox was a bit stubborn letting go of the old extension data so I had to remove, restart browser a couple of times, then reinstall and it sets things back to default.
