So, I am sure many people have seen early discharge be abused by factions in ranked war to make sure the opposing faction cannot take out their members.
AKA: Faction A is in an RW with faction B. Faction A hires/asks/whatever's faction C to hosp their low stat players so B can't take them out Faction A then makes use of early discharge so their members can pop out to do hits or other needed activities.
Proposed fixes: Either A) Makes it so faction B can also trigger an early discharge by attacking them B) make the health pool for the RW and everywhere else separate. (this is my preferred suggestion)
RW health can be decreased by everything your normal health bar can EXCEPT players outside the ranked war. All healing applies to both. To make things extra simple. Damage to RW health always applies to your normal health bar as well. This just makes it so if you are hit by an outside person you aren't safe from the opposing faction.
if you really want to make use of other things to hosp your members so they don't get hit like medical items or failing crimes or something. Sure. Flying exists. But the ability to be in the hospital with no downside is far too abusable.
Possible common questions: What status should be shown for the player? If the person looking at them is in an RW with them, use their RW health. Otherwise their normal health. What about being in the hospital? normal health hospital time stops them from normal activities. RW hospital time is global anyway and will overweight the normal hospital time if it is longer.
It would be nice if there was more risk/cost for buy mugging. Like, allow people to blacklist people from their bazaars. I could see this completely killing by mugging, especially if people start to create a list of buy muggers and sharing it. While I would like to see that, I understand that it is a part of the game and would be too much. Thus why I suggest making it a limited list like the enemy list. This way you can block specific members of the community you want 0 interaction with. This can also protect new players who are being targeted by a specific person.
This wouldn't totally fix that or eliminate it (since you can always get friends involved) but it would help people respond to individuals in the community they want to completely separate themselves from.
When I say black list, I mean the bazaar just doesn't show up for the person at all. That way it doesn't cause additional issues. This would still leave buy mugging an actual, if frustrating, strategy, but would give newer players the ability to respond to it in some way. Make the experience a little less frustrating.
You might want to re-read my post as I stated the point of it was not to remove buy mugging being a thing. Thank you for pointing that out, I didn't know that was a thing as none of my research turned it up
