Amazing opportunity!
I play Runescape 3, of course, I'm a bit biased but it is a very good of fresh air in MMOs. Both osrs and rs3 are like a different take on MMOs. Rs3 has a lot of mtx, sure but it's not really game changing (unless you want to spend $10k to max instantly) since the game is very grindy compared to any other mmo (except for osrs). New graphics are beautiful and modern combat system is interesting and fun once you get used to it.
And no, the game is not dead and I doubt it will be soon.
