So i believe the egg came first and here is why:


All life started out as cells and as time went by with evolution, cells sterted to grow and adapt to its surroundings. The cell then started growing an exoskeleton which is the egg shell and the cell fed on the nutrients inside to grow and then evolve into what is called the chick. As time passed the chick then grew strong enough to break free and start its new journey as the chicken and as life went on and the eggs now has mothers to birth them and feed them the evolution process changed the cell and dna to rely on warmth and food from birth.
