Hello everyone I'll be hosting a open mafia game. I welcome active participants that will play to win. In this set up the town will need to exercise excellent teamwork to deduce 2 killing threats. Information is given to the individual so its up to them to decide when to give it out. Last wills will be read during the time of death, but its up to the individuals to maintain and update their wills.
roles will be given out at random once the participants list is locked (minimum 12 players.)
Sign ups end 4/10/22 21:00 TCT set up will be retrofitted to a smaller game if theres lack of participants (7 players minimum)
Rules:
Day & Night cycle start and end 21:00 TCT to 21:00 TCT
1 Messaging players about On-Going Game Related Subjects outside of the forums is prohibited unless its with me or I specify who you can talk to.
2 Don't sign up if your not gonna play, This include Role Quitting and gamethrowing. Not playing to win and not playing because you didn't get the role you wanted. You must play to your roles win condition.
3 Be active and submit your actions at night. if you're gonna lurk and not talk message me -NotAFK
4 No harassing or attacking player, while arguments might get very heated this is a game, have fun.
5 Afk, inactives will have heart attacks after a day night cycle if they fail the afk check.
6 Don't post at night
7 Don't edit post with votes

This is how to read my roles.
Roles name -Role category- "flavor text" Ability:
Guns, Whips and Hookers
12-15 player set up
Red team win condition: eliminate all other teams and outnumber the green team. Can communicate outside of forums, and have 1 faction kill that dragon head gets final say. Dragon head gets sent out to kill, if dragon head is dead then arms dealer or hooker can either use their ability or faction kill. (Bread allows one of each, two kills, or two ability)
Dragon head -Mafia Power- "489 the leader of the triad." Has night immunity and detection immunity. (can't be killed at night and will appear innocent)
Armed with
Sniper: once per game can day kill without being revealed
Tanto Knife: once per game stab a target that will bleed out the next night unless healed
Arms dealer - Mafia Deception- "a shady entrepreneur that makes their living selling counterfeit weapons" can target someone each night to give them a fake gun
Fake guns have 50% chance of revealing the shooter and breaking apart 25% of hospitalizing the shooter (will be roleblocked) and 25% breaking apart
Hooker -Mafia Support- "A dancer working for organized crime" Visits and cancels night abilities (roleblocker)
Green team: eliminate all the reds and killing roles
Baker -Town Power- "A skilled baker who works overtime to feed the townspeople" can give bread to a player at night (x3 per game)
Bread - when consumed allows roles to do their night action twice
Gunsmith -Town Power- " a firearm manufacturer ready to arm the townspeople" can craft a gun for someone - cant give to self
Guns crafted have a 50% chance of revealing the shooter
Detective -Town Investigative- "A skilled tracker, learning important information on behalf of the town." follows someone at night to find out who they visited

Serial killer -neutral killing- "A deranged criminal who hates the world." every night you can choose a target to kill. You will kill any roleblocker who visits you. Win condition be the last standing.

so question on your personal opinion. what if the site in question has self exclude, and responsible gambling, they have daily limit, bet limit, all and more that isnt in vanilla casino, is that still how you feel about it? and reducing scams, well scams are allowed, not defending them but that's not a problem torns really after. its mostly not to get into hot water with some upcoming laws, but if the 3rd party casino is in line with the laws? should they be allowed? and every country has its own laws on this.. why is mainly EU the concern today?

even they said 1-2 allowed was fine, so now its going to none. if they can pick the ones that are regulated it should be fine, just double down on scripts and what is allowed, and target any that break them. don't punish users, and those following the rules.

We have beer and drugs too, so when is torn gonna ban kids who try Xanax or drink beer. And how is it gonna be enforced. This isn't about kids or adults, it's about being realistic with what can and can't be enforced and if it should or shouldn't be. I'm all for regulation tho, if scrips can get banned and get users who used them banned, I guess apply guidelines to the 3rd party casinos, just don't outright ban them. Not defending scammers, but why just casino? Shouldn't we ban scams as a whole if torn doesn't want scams, and you don't want scams? I think if we banned scamming that would be great
Those sound like actual solutions, but I can tell you why the blanket ban, because it creates more work for torn. Rather ban everything than to address the problem.
I don't think they care about the money going out, they literally have a casino built in as a gold sink.

I guess if you must be like a true government, have casino owners report taxes or provide like a tax form of how much money moved and where. Since that seems to be the main concern, then you can stop wearing about where the money is going. There hit players with taxes. The most fun thing ever right?

It was reported and "handled" in the reports, basically said not enough proof and not my problem, I can't say for sure cause it wasnt me but still that's how it felt and sounded like. I don't wanna disclose anymore since the decision is already made, and that's that if my friend left cause of it oh well. He likes to spend on the game too.
