Hello, I am BULLY.
I am here today to teach you how to bully properly, without getting yourself fedded like a dunce. This is not your pass to go and be a bigot and say "Well BULLY said..." because no, I will not teach you to do anything that violates Torn rules or TOS. I will not teach you how to BEND the rules or TOS. I will teach you a safe and compliant way to make your enemies despise you, and how to truly upset them in a digital world we all know and love.
That being said, the first principle to remember in bullying properly is to
Know the Boundaries:
There is no reason to drag anyone's race, religion, ethnicity, or real life issues, looks, sexuality, or gender. To be a bully is to know how to anger them without lowering yourself to a level below that of the intended victims. The moment you stoop to basic insults and risk your account, you've already lost, and the victim will become the victor.
Find things in game that anger them, and use that to your own advantage. Everyone has a button, its just up to you to find which one(s) they have.
Once you have the boundaries down and are able to control your bigotries, proceed to the next step.
Keeping a cool head:
You are reading this to learn how to bully, but the moment you get angry, or back down, you lose. Instantly with no way to recover. Remember to always abide by the 3 C's. Staying cool, calm, and collected. Even when the tides get rough, which they can, and will.
Once you are confident you will not blow an absolute fucking gasket and lose all ability to even communicate correctly, you may proceed to the next step.
Evaluating your victim:
Knowing your enemy makes bullying vastly easier. When examining the victim of choice, first you'll want to determine if you are able to beat them, this can be easily done by using BSP (battle stat predictor), if you don't have that, measure their awards against your own, as well as xanax usage, and point refills. Then evaluate their faction, but not as in depth. A quick glance over should let you know what you're up against and who may attempt to come to their factionmates rescue. Always take note if the victim is either the leader of their faction, or the director of a company, these may be useful things to know later on.
Once you have evaluated them, you can determine the best methods in which to use.
Can you beat them up?
"Yes!" - Awesome! Do it once, and mug them, not for the money, but for the pettiness. Gauge their response. If it angers them, continue doing it. If it seems to have no effect on them, you'll have to resort to other methods.
"No!" - Worry not my noobling, this occurs from time to time. Do not waste E on the target, simply place a laughable bounty on them with a funny (but not bigotrous) note. Gauge their response similar to above, same methodology applies.
Once evaluation is done, you may move on to determining the best course of action.
Courses of Action:
This all depends on what you learned during the evaluation phase. There are 2 ways to bully someone, directly or indirectly.
Bullying the victim themselves: Okay, so your opponent is a weak little muppet you can easily destroy, great, that makes it easy. Mug them as suggested above, if they get mad, continue. If they don't respond, or respond in a way that implies they genuinely aren't bothered by the mugging, use Toilet Paper on them. If you see them flying, you may purchase a Flight Delay to extend their flight and fuck with their schedule in game and IRL possibly. If you see them flying back from Switz, toilet paper them multiple times, then flight delay. You can also use BHG to keep them in hosp, it's cheap and sometimes very effective, especially on newer players.
Bullying their factionmates: I know what you're thinking, "BUT BuLLY THeY DiDN DO NufFIN" yeah no shit, that's the point. It will 100% piss them off if you start attacking their factionmates. I'd suggest if you are doing this to turn off stealth and go for their weakest links (low stats, online, and low # of days in faction). I suggest mugging multiple in a quick sequence for better effect. After this you will likely receive a message, possibly multiple, from either the ones you've mugged (curious as to what they've done to deserve such a travesty), or the leadership (leadership likes to play big dog and/or negotiator). If the people you've just mugged message you regarding the attacks, just be honest tell them respectfully "I'm only hitting you because of X who is in your faction." If they are already angry, even better. It is important to remember you aren't here to bully them specifically, but them being angry only helps your cause. Either way, be cordial and speak like you know how to speak proper, it will play in your favor. It will anger them more to see you so calm about it all while you screw up their gameplay. If they respond in an inquisitive manner, and not angry but more so just wondering "why?", I'd suggest explaining why, and then offering to leave that specific person alone. This makes you look good in that persons eyes, they will stop and ask if you are truly a bully, or if their factionmate really is just so insufferable that now they have to suffer along with them. This can lead to expulsion of the original victim in some cases but not all. But, it will always sew the seeds of doubt, in your favor.
You can always outsource the attacks to services like Nebula or BHG, but I'd only recommend this if 1. They are not in a war, and 2. they would already know its you placing them. You WANT them to know its you doing this, as it only goes give more credit to the WHY you are doing it. Keep the bounty amounts low if you do this, and stick to the targeting parameters (weak, new, online).
Bullying their company: This method only works if they are the director of the company they are in. This one is easy, poach their noobs, offer them an obviously higher rate of pay to try and convince them to quit and come to your company, then just don't let them join. This messes up the income for the company, and trust me, recruiting for companies fucking sucks. If done correctly and effectively, this WILL hurt them and their pockets. You may also use the method mentioned above in the factionmate section, but be aware it is far less effective in this usage.
Improv Bullying:
This is a type of bullying that you must constantly be on the look for, things that aren't specifically mentioned here possibly, but that you know for a fact will help contribute to the chaos you intent to cause.
Example 1: You notice the victims faction is chaining. Wait until they have very few active/idle/online members, once they have what appears to be only the chain watchers online, BHG them instantly. This time do reasonable amounts for the bounties, as you want them to be claimed very quickly as to run up their med timers, possibly breaking their chain. Even if it does not break, it WILL cause anger and panic in their souls.
Example 2: You notice the faction has been DB'd twice, and for some unfathomably stupid reason, they change their name temporarily to troll the bombing faction and/or staff. TAKE THEIR FACTION NAME AS FAST AS FUCKING POSSIBLE. LEAVE YOUR FACTION IF YOU ARE IN ONE AND MAKE A NEW ONE IF NEEDED. This is a very rare, but golden improv moment. From here you may ransom their faction name back to them, or destroy their namesake entirely.
Consistency:
Last but not least is consistency. If you tell the enemy something, make sure it is true. Lying makes you look like shit. If you threaten them, follow through with threats. If you are going to give up as soon as they retaliate, and tuck tail and show belly, don't even try to bully them.
You must be consistent with your actions, and unwavering from your word. If you say "this shit isn't stopping until X happens' DO NOT FALL BACK FROM THAT. Continue following the methods mentioned above, or using improv to keep the ball in your court. If it gets rough and they are fucking you up, DOUBLE DOWN, don't surrender. Never surrender or your poor attempt at bullying will result in things like permahosp with you crying wishing you had followed through.
This is by far the most important part of bullying, because you are only as good as the threats you make.
Remember:
A person's reputation is built one action at a time.
Make sure yours is built intentionally.
I hope this guide helps at least one noobling survive against stronger players, turn the tables on a rival, and remember that patience, planning, and persistence are often stronger than raw stats.
