Hey there, are you new to the battlefield or a bit forgetful on which things to have prepared, this is the place for you.
Understanding War
Minimum faction requirementFirst and foremost, you need to be in a faction with 10 or more members (non-Recruits) that have been active within the last 24 hours to join in Ranked Wars or Raids, which is the main topic for this guide, but it can be used for chaining preparations as well, though there’s no need for it to this extend.
The basics of WarFor raids it’s a simple matter of smashing the raid button on the faction you want to raid and then keep hitting them until they lose or you agree on a peace treaty.
For ranked war you sign up to these in the faction, every Tuesday the coming weeks fights will be picked against an opponent of similar strength, the calculation is not available but these are the parts that go into it.
[image: i.imgur.com]- ActualRank: current ranking of the faction achieved through fighting in previous Ranked Wars.
- HiddenRank: secret minimum rank based on total battle stats in the faction members.
- Basicsearch ranges are: Rank (+1/-1), Size (+5 x 1.25/÷1.25 -5) and that it’s not a faction you fought within the last 6 battles.
A ranked war ends when one faction achieves the calculated war score goal, the banner will look something like this.
[image: i.imgur.com]The lead target is calculated based on how big your faction and the enemy faction are so it’ll vary every time.
Once the war is going every respect earned from hitting the enemy faction-members count towards the goal, the war is over once the lead target has been hit.
If the fight takes more than 24 hours, the Lead target is reduced 1% and again forevery 1 hour after, this is to make it possible to end a fight that’s being stalled, so ranked war is never more than 123 hours.
There are various bonuses that go into earning respect and I'll be touching on a few in the strategy section later.
Prepare yourselfMedical settingsThis is a small thing but it can mean the world in a fight gone wild, turn your revival settings to No one.
[image: i.imgur.com]At first it may seem a bit weird, but this is to avoid the enemy using healers to revive you repeatedly when you’re offline to farm respect points.
Energy stackingTo ensure the best possible performance in the battle, prepare yourself by stacking energy to the 1000 limit, you do this by taking 4 doses of Xanax. It will take you more than 24 hours, so start early if you’re in doubt, the precise time is dependent on your faction and merits. Note that you can OD and have to do it over as well, in that case come with as much as you can manage.
[image: i.imgur.com]Gearing for warThis will vary wildly depending on budget, faction available materials and strategies, but I’ll like up a decent setup here, that can be seen as an early goal.
[image: i.imgur.com]Combat Armor is not too expensive and offers decent protection, the Full Body Armor is wanted because it covers such a large area, arms being a very important feature.
Your main armament is where you have a lot of options a Sig 550, Enfield, Tavor, M16 A2 Rifle or Steyr AUG are decent weapons to pick, you want to prioritise having a better accuracy over damage, but it's a balance.
For your secondary weapon it’s all about the Blowgun, it has a high chance to poison the enemy and it deals serious over time damage, you can take out a lot more than you think if you get the poison in.
Your melee weapon is a bit open I can suggest a Macana, it has good accuracy, decent damage and respectable stealth. Other good options include Diamond Bladed Knife and Metal nunchucks.
For temporaries there’s a choice to be made, depending on you and the enemy you’re facing.

PepperSpray[/background]
- [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Highly recommend as it is super inexpensive and takes down your opponent's dexterity to 20% of what it normally is, for 15-20 seconds.[/background]
- [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]The only times you should not use one is when your opponent is wearing a Motorcycle Helmet or any of the other helmets that block it.[/background]
[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]
SmokeGrenade[/background]
- [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]These are not blocked by anything and take down your opponent's speed to 33% of what it normally is for 120 - 180 seconds.[/background]
[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]
High Explosive Grenade[/background]
- [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Goodfor quick one-shot kills because of their high damage output.[/background]
- [background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Can be used to great effect on people who just used medicine to leave hospital early.[/background]
Not able to be there at the start (Self-hospitalise)If you for one reason or another is not able to be there at the beginning of a fight, make sure you’re in the hospital at that time. You want to do this so the enemy doesn’t have an easy target to earn respect on.
[image: i.imgur.com]This can be archived, by using the wrong blood bag (requires ‘Intravenous Therapy’ under biology education), sending yourself a Small Explosive Device, have friends hospitalize you after beating you up or lack of that have a faction mate put a bounty on your head and have random people do it.
Management during warMedical cooldownThere is not much to know here, he most effective medical items are blood bags of the correct type, but you need to have to education ‘Intravenous Therapy’ under biology to use them. Lacking that Morphine is the most effective, then First Aid Kit and lastly Small First Aid Kit.
[image: i.imgur.com]Should you max your Medical cooldown, there’s the option to be revived, remember to switch the option on and off for this or potentially use the Opium drug.
Booster cooldownYour booster cooldown will mostly be used for energy cans and Feathery Hotel Coupon’s(FHC) during a war, it’s a good idea to have at least some available, but this is a point where you can end up sinking a lot of money. For your first few wars, try use what your faction can offer while you get your bearings.
The effectiveness of energy cans vary, since your faction can buff the energy gained from these. Do note you can use cans to go over your normal energy limit.
FHC’s cannot go over your energy limit and is the most useful if you are a donator/subscriber since this raises your max energy, if you’re not I’d not recommend using FHC.
Energy refillRemember that you can use 25 points in the point store, to refill your energy bar once a day, this works in wars as well.
[image: i.imgur.com]Drugs cooldownYour drugs can do a few things for you, the most notable are:
Vicodin- Cheap 25% extra battle stats, to make you a scary fighter.
Opium- Removes all hospital time, 50% health back and a 30% defence increase.
Xanax- It comes with a -25% to all stats, but 250 energy is 10 more hits, which can mean you can earn more respect.
Going away (Self-hospitalise)If you need to take a break or have other places you need to be, much like described in the ‘Not able to be there at the start’ section, you’re going to want to self-hospitalise. Again this is done to minimise the amount of respect the enemy can easily earn.
FlyingNow if you’re level 15 or higher you can do flying, flying can be used instead of self-hospitalising, but there are other risks involved.
The main threat here getting caught, it can be an even worse spot in another country, and you might get locked out and potentially farmed. South Africa, Cayman Isles and Switzerland are notoriously bad, because a lot of muggers will be roaming here already.
Aside from getting stuck you also can be tampered with, people working at a Detective Agency could extend the flight time, so you don’t always have control over the time spent unlike hospital times. If you want to fly make sure to coordinate with you faction, it can be used as part of a strategy, but it’s not guaranteed and comes with risks.
[image: i.imgur.com]StrategyCommunicationThis is the most important aspect of any fight, talk to your team stay up to date, be it in faction chat, newsletters on a discord server, which ever your faction prefers. I cannot overstate how important this is, with a well-coordinated team, you can do incredible things.
ActivitySecond most important thing, you cannot win a war without being present, simple as.
ChainWhen you hit someone a chain is started, this can be tracked on the left panel below your Happy.
[image: i.imgur.com]When the chain is building the number on the right is the next chain bonus hit, you should land these on the enemy roster to get bonus respect for the war. You can build the chain on other people outside the war, but it’s important that you try to land the bonus hits on the enemies to win the war.
Maintaining a chain is not as easy as it seems, your faction have to make a hit before 5 min passes, easy enough in the beginning when everyone is pumped, but what when you’ve all used the extra Xanax energy ? You should plan out so that some people got energy to maintain the chain called ‘Chain Watchers’ and also have people keeping a steady eye on which enemies can be taken down for the bonus hits. Again Coordination will be the key to winning the fight here.
Roster activity controlA simple way to ensure you are not getting beat up and are not able to run a chain, is by controlling the enemy teams possible counter actions. This can be done by simply hospitalising all who is online and repeat that process, until they run out of medical cooldown to get out and fight back. Usually the enemy will try to do the same and there will be a lot of bonus respect for retaliations.
Winning control over the enemy, will give free reign to gather respect of the other teams offline members and make it a lot easier to guarantee your chain is kept alive and hits their faction.
That’s the short of it; there are many details to Ranked War, not covered entirely here, to keep it concise and useable.
