Hello guys! If you know anything about League of Legends then you would know that the Summer split has either started or about to start for most regions, so now is a very ripe time to start discussing betting!
For those unfamiliar with the game and how it works, it's pretty complex, definitely not something that you can learn overnight. But for those of us who (unluckily) know how to play the game and keep up with the professional scene, let me know if you're going to bet on a couple of games! I'll also chuck in a couple of picks here and there that I PERSONALLY place and give my two cents as to why I've done so.
Personally I'm a big fan of the Korean league (LCK) so most of my picks will come from there. On a side note, I hope that T1 doesn't just run through every team in the region, because I want those teams to be competitive by the time Worlds is here!
CURRENT RECORD - 76 WINS - 22 LOSSES STREAK - 3 LOSSES
Rough last couple of bets, that's on me. DRX surprises two days in a row and DK turned it up when the stakes were at its highest, showing their championship pedigree. Unfortunately that's the end of the LCK for the remainder of the year. We look forward to the World Championships for more bets but that doesn't come until the end of September, around the 29th.
In the mean time, if you're interested in gambling even more money (virtual money of course), might I suggest Tipster's GAMBLING TIPS/BETTING ADVICE thread. Top bloke and gives great insight into betting on football, and he gives free bets as well.
Pretty sad ending on a 3 loss streak for the LCK but the bounce back for Worlds is on, hopefully will be well prepped by then. See you guys in four weeks!
Last reply on this topic because it's flooding the thread.
I preach draft advantage. I've always been a big believer of getting advantages through the draft, I've literally made predictions and bets on matches purely because of how well a team drafts, but one thing for certain is that draft edge will NEVER be enough to counter better gameplay, no matter how big a difference in draft.
It's how T1 ran through the LCK during Summer, and its how Gen.G ran through the LCK in Spring, they were simply playing better than everyone else.
Along the same vein, KT just played better than DRX in Game 2. There was no miracle come back from a 10k gold deficit.
They lost draft massively, even I'm not blind enough to counter that, but what exactly was the draft advantage in the first place? In theory, DRX's draft was only unloseable after the game goes past 3/4 items because their scaling was just out of this world. But did DRX ever get to that point in the game?
That's big resounding NO.
KT ended the game in less than 30 minutes, so that draft exodia that was there was NEVER realised at all. KT didn't come back from anything, they just won the game.
Game 1 was an entirely different beast. KT had a quantifiable lead, a lead that was REALISED, and a lead that DRX came back from.
Saying that KT's win in Game 2 is just as notable as DRX's win in Game 1 is ridiculous. Ask any player, any analyst, any person who knows anything about this game, whether they think having a losing draft then winning is just as notable as coming back from a 10k gold deficit and they'd probably laugh. There's levels to it, losing draft is not on the same level as a 10k gold deficit, no matter how hard you lose a draft.
Think of it like this, how many times do teams win when their draft is clearly worse? On the flip side, how often do teams come back from a massive gold lead? Unless your name is T1 or Gen.G or a team that's at the top of their respective leagues, then winning from behind is almost always a bigger task than having a shitty draft.
If these points do not go through then it's whatever, your opinion is your opinion and my opinion is my opinion. I do not want to flood this thread anymore with meaningless debate. Have a good day!

Last Worlds spot on the line, should be intense!
Liiv SANDBOX (x1.35) vs DRX (x3.00) - 08:00:00 TCT - 03/09/2022 - Liiv SANDBOX WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<<
>PLEASE READ< For a lot of the same reasons that KT should've won yesterday's match, LSB pretty much has the same advantages. DRX would need to have a repeat of their performances yesterday against an arguably better opponent, and we all know that consistency and DRX do not mix.
Key focus will be jungle yet again. DRX will have to choose one jungler to play and honestly it probably won't matter because of how good Croco has been this split. Just like yesterday, whoever plays jungle better will probably end up dictating how the games go, and Croco has been one of the premier early game performers that the region has seen this split.
I'm looking at this as a potential 3-1 victory for LSB, 3-2 if DRX really brings the same energy that they had yesterday. But LSB are a different team to KT, LSB is a lot more aggressive and we've seen how DRX handles with early game aggression (they really don't handle it well) so it'll be interesting to see how DRX plays around this. Should be some good matches!
Honestly don't see the argument on how this shouldn't be a 3-0.
Game 1 was 100% a KT win, there's no excuse here especially with how big their advantage was. KT has only themselves to blame for this loss.
Game 2 ON PAPER was a DRX win. They won draft hard and had the superior team comp. If every single person playing was a robot who had the exact same skills and thought process, then sure DRX was meant to win. But the fact of the matter is that KT was better in that game. They could've picked any other champ other than Zyra and still would've won the game because of how Cuzz and VicLa played. They did everything they needed to do right to win in that game: 1. Make sure that they win the early game, 2. Make sure that Deft didn't get fed, 3. End the game before it hit 35+ minutes. Saying that this was a miracle win is dishonest, because KT HAD to win this one with pure skill and not relying on any other advantages.
Game 3 was arguably the closest of the first three games, yet KT still deserved that win. The game was even until it wasn't. KT played the mid game a lot cleaner and won the skirmishes when they needed to.
I respect your opinion, but anyone who watched those games could see that in every other universe apart from this one, KT would've won Game 1 and thus completed the 3-0. Saying Game 2 was a miracle win is a terrible take, there's no good having draft utopia if you can't execute, which DRX 100% didn't. Game 3 was also a pretty clear cut KT win.
I say all of this knowing full well how capable DRX is, if you look really early to my posts you would see that at one point I said they were top 3 in the league alongside T1 and Gen.G. That opinion quickly died because of how inconsistent this team simply is. It's kind of comical how I joke that DRX are either "upsetting or getting upset", but this statement couldn't be any truer. They dropped games they shouldn't have and won games they shouldn't have all split long, yesterday was definitely one of those days where they felt like upsetting a team so all power to them.
Came on here to say what a tragic loss we had today. LSB's loss was understandable, they simply did not play as well as DK and coming in it was very, very even.
However, KT losing today shouldn't have happened. They should've won Game 1 and taken home the 3-0, but no, of course DRX upsets right when they aren't expected to at all.
WP DRX... seriously hate betting when this team plays.

Disappointing loss in the last match, should be a good bounce back bet!
KT Rolster (x1.36) vs DRX (x2.87) - 08:00:00 TCT - 02/09/2022 - KT Rolster WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<<
>PLEASE READ< A lot more clear cut than the LSB vs DK match. KT are 2-0 in head-to-head matches this split, only dropping 1 game out of 5 total. Overall, KT are better at various aspects, drafting, roster, consistency and current form. Many things have to go wrong for KT to get upset in this match.
Key point is going to have to be the jungle matchup. DRX always look good when Pyosik looks good, but great performances from him are far and few between and seeing him step up when the stakes are even higher is a big ask. On the flip side, Cuzz has really seen a big jump throughout the split and I would argue is KT's most valuable player, even though Aiming has put numerous carry performances. Early game will be key for both junglers and I think Cuzz is better in that aspect.
Overall, I predict a strong 3-1 for KT, maybe even a 3-0 if DRX doesn't get a good draft and if Pyosik has an off day. Should be some great games ahead!
LCK Regional Finals Round 1 - DWG KIA vs Liiv Sandbox

Regional Finals time, the culmination of a year's worth of hard work for every team involved to have a crack at representing Korea at Worlds!
DWG KIA (x1.83) vs Liiv SANDBOX (x1.83) - 08:00:00 TCT - 01/09/2022 - LSB WIN (65%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< This matchup is so incredibly close on paper. Both teams are 1-1 in head-to-head matches and recent form has been pretty good. I think before the start of Summer playoffs I would've given the clear edge to LSB but DK has seen a massive boost in form as soon as the stakes grew. I expect much of the same for them in this match. Both teams are pretty much even all around. I do think DK has the better roster on paper but LSB works better as a unit, so its effectively cancelled out.
Key points to look out for: Jungle and Bottom lane.
In the jungle, Canyon has been untouched for so many seasons. He's the best jungler in the league and probably the world, but often times it has not mattered during this split as the meta favours scaling a lot more than the early stomps that Canyon is known to produce. On the flip side, Croco has been really consistent this split, playing more utility and getting early leads to bottom lane to allow Prince to shine. I think the games will be dictated by how these two players play.
As with the current state of the game, bottom lane is always super important to success. Prince and Kael have been the pillars of LSB's unexpected success during this split and will be key to their winning chances today. On DK's side, deokdam and Kellin have been slowly gaining momentum as the split has gone, so I expect to put up a good fight as well.
Overall I think this is really tight, 4 games minimum and there's a good chance that a 5th game will happen. I'm giving the edge to LSB, hoping for a 3-1, but a 3-2 is certainly in the cards as well!

Grand Finals is here! And it should be some very exciting games ahead!
Gen.G (x1.28) vs T1 (x3.25) - 05:00:00 TCT - 28/08/2022 - Gen.G WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< The matchup that most people wanted to see for Grand Finals happened. Expect a good fight from both of these teams but I think there is a clear favourite today. Gen.G completed their regular season run with a near perfect 18-1 scoreline, only dropping 5 games for the entire split. I've echoed the same things since the beginning of the split about this team, they've been playing with consistency and I hope that it doesn't stop today. T1 on the other hand had a relatively disappointing split even though they finished 2nd. The team didn't live up to the expectations of their perfect Spring split and they really fell in a downward spiral.
Key points to look for in this matchup: Top and Bottom lane. Doran has been the weakest point of Gen.G from the get go and there's a chance that T1 capitalises on this today. I expect T1 to draft strong side top and give their undisputed best player Zeus a chance to carry (we all know this won't happen). On the other side, Gumayusi and Keria will have to hold off the best bot lane in the league. They'll have to give Gumayusi a good champ to carry with and Keria something that can make plays to hopefully have a fighting chance.
If none of these things happen, I think Gen.G will roll over T1 with a 3-1 victory, maybe even 3-0 if T1 drafts like they usually do. Gen.G are too stable of a team, they don't give up early leads and they slowly suffocate their opponents with good scaling drafts and proactive plays for neutral objectives. Should be a fun one today!

Sorry for the late upload, should be some good games today!
T1 (x1.28) vs DWG KIA (x3.25) - 08:00:00 TCT - 21/08/2022 - T1 WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< I would say this was pretty clear cut since T1 are 4-0 against DK in the regular season, but DK have surprised a lot of people with how they played in the last series against KT. Still, the matchup should be T1 favoured. T1 are better on paper all around except for drafting, which shouldn't be too bad because DK themselves can have horrific drafts as well.
The key focus in this match will be the bottom lane. T1's bot has really underperformed this split and it's hurting the team. Gumayusi is not putting out carry performances like his peers. DK's bot lane has been slowly improving as the split has gone by. They played pretty well against KT's bot lane so will be interesting to see how this matchup goes against T1. At the end of the day, it should be a nice 3-1 from T1 today. The series has potential to go 5 games, but I think T1 will close it out before it gets to that point. Hopefully T1 does not choke.

Semi finals are here, nice matchup today!
Gen.G (x1.10) vs Liiv SANDBOX (x6.00) - 08:00:00 TCT - 20/08/2022 - Gen.G WIN (80%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< On paper this was pretty lopsided during the regular season. Gen.G swept LSB 4-0 in H2H so I'm confident they'll take this victory today. The key for LSB is to get leads in the bottom lane, if they can't get advantages there then Gen.G will slowly choke LSB just like they did with every team in the league.
Gen.G are just a step above everyone else. They're the most consistent team, they draft relatively well, and their weaknesses get negated by their strengths. There's a big chance at a 3-0 today, but 3-1 is also likely for Gen.G.
As uteki said, it was a typo. I posted this right before the servers shit itself yesterday so I had no way of editing the original post before I logged off Torn.
If you lost money because of my typo then that's on me, but the >PLEASE READ< section is there for a reason. It contains valuable insight into the bet that is important so people just don't blindly follow what I say on this thread. I apologise for any loses.

Final match before Semi Finals, this series will be close!
DWG KIA (x1.60) vs KT Rolster (x2.25) - 08:00:00 TCT - 18/08/2022 - KT Rolster WIN (70%) >>LINK TO BET<<
>PLEASE READ< I would argue that this is probably the most exciting matchup of the playoffs, outside of a potential T1 vs Gen.G finals! These teams are both very close, going 1-1 in H2H for the split. At the start of the season, this match would be Damwon favoured but right now it's very close. I think on paper, KT should be favoured slightly because of form. It will be very close and draft will 100% matter, and I think KT also has the advantage in that area.
This match has potential to reach 5 games, but I think KT will close it out 3-1. If it does go 5 games, it will be 50/50 at that point because of how much more experienced Damwon's roster is. Should be a very exciting match ahead!

Nice matchup ahead, good set up for the colossal games for tomorrow!
Liiv SANDBOX (x1.16) vs DRX (4.50) - 08:00:00 TCT - 17/08/2022 - DRX WIN (80%) >>LINK TO BET<< (Late post because Torn died for a bit)
>PLEASE READ< Pretty good match ahead, H2H it's 2 wins for Sandbox this split but DRX has kept it close. Still, I think Sandbox will take this one today. Their split so far has been very impressive, and I think they'll go deep in the playoffs. DRX has been the biggest flip of the split. They either play like a top 3 or play like a bottom 3 team. I do think even at their best, they go toe-to-toe with Sandbox, so for DRX to win, everything has to go perfect.
I predict a nice 3-1 for LSB today, they've been better all split long and are a lot more consistent than DRX. Focus on the match has to be on the bot lane matchup. Deft will have to step up massively in order to keep pace with Prince, otherwise Sandbox might just run away with yet another carry performance from him. Should be good matches ahead!
Regular season is finished for Spring split. Overall ended up with 72 wins out of the potential 90.
[image: cdn.discordapp.com]Something interesting I saw during the stream. I actually ended up predicting more wins than the English LCK analysts, pretty happy about that.
Next week are the first two rounds of playoffs, then the week after is grand finals. Should be pretty exciting!
I'll also start looking at the other regions in preparation for Worlds!

Relatively tame last day ahead, still some great potential though!
DRX (x1.20) vs Hanwha Life Esports (x4.20) - 06:00:00 TCT - 14/08/2022 - DRX WIN (80%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< Not too much to say here, DRX already beat them in the previous round robin, since then both teams have maintained about the same form, so not much difference in terms of gameplay. Hanwha are pretty good at taking away games but even then I think DRX are better all around and should take the victory.. Nongshim RedForce (x2.15) vs Kwangdong Freecs (x1.65) - 09:00:00 TCT - 13/08/2022 - Nongshim RedForce WIN (70%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< Probably the most lackluster final matchup possible, both teams who I hoped would have really good splits but failed miserably to do so. I'll give the edge to Nongshim on this one though, but it's very close. Nongshim beat them already but it was very early on in the split. Still, Nongshim have been picking up in the last few weeks so I expect them to take this one 2-1!

Huge matches today, potential playoff matchups for both series as well, should be very exciting!
Gen.G (x1.24) vs KT Rolster (x3.80) - 08:00:00 TCT - 13/08/2022 - Gen.G WIN (80%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< As it stands, there's a very good chance that Sandbox and KT go through the first round of playoffs. IMO if that were to happen, Gen.G will choose KT as their second round opponents. This match today will be very helpful in seeing where KT are in terms of strength before the start of playoffs. With that being said, I still expect Gen.G to win this one in convincing fashion, they've been dominating everyone throughout the split and their overall game is very hard to crack. T1 (x1.45) vs DWG KIA (x2.60) - 11:00:00 TCT - 13/08/2022 - T1 WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< This match is super pivotal for both of these teams, even if it doesn't affect playoff seeding! A win for Damwon today would mean that there's a very good chance that they'll come out ahead of KT in their first round match. A win for T1 would mark a small revival in form that they desperately need just before playoffs come. This one is very close, but I'm leaning towards T1 today. Both teams are known to blunder drafts, but T1 has been better in other aspects. Damwon are definitely able to challenge, but it will be difficult, too risky for an upset bet. Should be a 2-1 for T1 today!

Matches today don't affect playoff standings, these teams are playing for pride and bragging rights!
Nongshim RedForce (x1.50) vs Hanwha Life Esports (x2.50) - 08:00:00 TCT - 12/08/2022 - Nongshim RedForce WIN (75%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< This is a pretty interesting matchup, even without any playoff stakes. Their last matchup was so back and forth and it literally came down to the last fight. I'm giving the edge to Nongshim in this one because they're slowly picking up the pieces of their split. Hanwha has looked lost and I don't really see any strong points in this team. Should be a good battle today, hopefully 2-1 for Nongshim! Brion Esports (x3.75) vs Liiv SANDBOX (x1.22) - 11:00:00 TCT - 12/08/2022 - Liiv SANDBOX WIN (85%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< Sandbox look to end their Spring regular season with a win! Just like last time these two met, I expect Sandbox to 2-0 them. There's not much to say here, Sandbox are just better all around and they play a very aggressive, snowball-y game, which completely messes up Brion's slower, scaling playstyle. Pretty good odds considering how lopsided this matchup is!

Unfortunate end to an 11 match win streak yesterday, but we bounce back today. Huge matchups for the battle for 4th place in both matches today, should be exciting!
Kwangdong Freecs (x3.50) vs DWG KIA (x1.27) - 08:00:00 TCT - 11/08/2022 - DWG KIA WIN (80%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< Nice matchup for Damwon in their fight to get 4th place. They've beaten Kwangdong 2-0 already so they know how to beat them. Damwon are better at everything except drafting, but Damwon are not T1 so any draft edges won't be too massive. Should be a clean match for Damwon today, hopefully they take it in 2 games. DRX (x1.83) vs KT Rolster (x1.83) - 11:00:00 TCT - 11/08/2022 - KT Rolster WIN (70%) >>LINK TO BET<< >PLEASE READ< This is really close. It's hard to say for certain who will win, but my money's on KT. They've beaten DRX in the previous round robin and they're only getting better as the season progresses. This will rely heavily on draft, especially the jungle and ADC picks. KT plays very aggressively early, similar to LSB, and DRX are definitely a slower, scaling team. Should be exciting, and I'm giving it 2-1 to KT today!
