only way to really do this would be to do some ranking / coercive fighting system based around getting to the center and collaborating that with increased rewards or something else (ie, first to get there gets a better bonus, holding for a long long time and coming back on would be detrimental or useless...) 

but that would need a restructure, it'll take a few years - but i know ched is passionate and won't push it until he is comfortable :) 

the only way you would really enforce this is to prevent like a trader from not trading anymore if they're a staff, or something similar 

why wouldn't someone seek out a way to punish their competition? this can happen in RW factions and over territory, but also basic stuff like trading too 

who's to say that every fedding is fair in this case - in reality we have to hope for the best from players that are inherently biased, since they are players of the game first and staff second 

torn is a better place with people like that that guide the way for everyone else :)

the noobs in the faction sacrificing their growth and gameplay just to be shit on by the entire community is a stark contrast to someone who can sit with peace perks and farm virtual numbers while also growing a burgeoning stock portfolio every week
