How to get started

Common questions

Is it rigged?

No. Every game is designed to be fair and unbiased, and each one keeps a different house edge, published here in full:

MINES and DRAGON TOWER - 6.0% edge, so 94% of everything staked is returned to players. This holds wherever you choose to cash out; stopping earlier or later changes your swings, never your expected return.

PLINKO - 7.944% edge, so 92.056% of everything staked is returned to players.

SLOTS - between 89.5% and 92.4% returned depending on your bet size, plus roughly 1.6% of everything staked which goes into the three progressive jackpots and comes back out when one is won.

 In MINES, PLINKO and DRAGON TOWER, your chances are the same no matter how much you bet. In SLOTS they are not, and it is only fair that you know why:

The LEMONS bonus triggers with a chance of your bet divided by 5,000,000, times 1% - so a maximum bet is 250 times likelier to trigger it than a minimum one. Jackpot chances also rise with bet size, and the guaranteed "must-hit-by" ceilings only apply from a $100,000 bet upwards. Larger Slots bets therefore return a little more per credit staked. Everything else is generated randomly within this framework.

What are the limits?

Bets run from $10,000 to $2,500,000 in Mines, Plinko and Slots. Plinko drops up to 60 balls at once, and Slots spins up to 10 times at once.

In Dragon Tower the same $10,000 minimum applies, but the maximum depends on difficulty: Easy and Medium accept up to $2,500,000, Hard is capped at $400,000. The steeper the tower, the sooner a full climb would pay more than the casino can safely cover, so the cap comes down with it.

Mines pays at most $200,000,000 from a single round. The board simply stops offering you picks before it could go past that, and it tells you the limit up front rather than quietly trimming a win.

Why do you need my API?

Your Public API key is a unique password that lets me validate your account and stop impersonators.

 None of the info that it shows is delicate (only publicly accessible info, such as your name and identifier)

 and you can request the removal of your API at any moment.
You can check the last usage of your API key in your settings and I encourage regularly changing your 

API keys for security reasons.

I really appreciate the effort that you put into creating this service, however I also think it should not be allowed. 

I know you probably don't care, but I wanted to share it with you either way.

EDIT: Wanted to add this part. I've just read the "Did you get it revealed at a cyber cafe only to discover that it was blocked because the placer had enough SYS stock to have a firewall?" part and it sums up my idea perfectly.

You're trying to circumvent part of the game design by using the API. I don't really understand why or how Bogie is fine with it to be honest, although I've never really understood much of the stuff he does (maybe I'm just below average IQ). I get that scripts should invoke creativity (stuff like seeing how much stock there is abroad has some similarities to this) but I would consider this all in all bad for TORN from a game design perspective. For the record, I am not a big stealth attacker (around 100 stealth attacks in a year) and I do dislike people that use the newspaper for personal promo. 

Again, I understand you're trying to market it as good for the community and useful to the game for "halloweek", and that it's not been flagged by the admins, but I'm just not feeling it and I would probably try to remove/patch this if I was an Admin.

By the way, one of the reasons I consider this to be a special offender (scripts are meant to serve as fillers for stuff that isn't in the game, after all) Is because this IS already in the game, and they ALREADY added a countermeasure for it.

What you're doing is jailbreaking the countermeasure to the feature in a way that is out of the player's control. It goes: feature (stealth, anon mugging) > balancing countermeasure (bounty reveals) > script exploit to undermine a game balancing feature? What even is the point of the SYS bonus now? AND you're just advertising it on the newspaper?

Drawing a few similarities, take this example:

If someone was employing the public API to flag when someone had money on hand to mug them, THAT would be patched and that information would be removed from the public API. 

Why? - Because it's NOT an intended feature. It's exploity and its overall not good game design.

I understand this is not 100% the same as what you're doing (as nothing will be), but it's pretty darn similar to it.

After all, what's the difference between violating a player's privacy by checking their balance or by essentially giving their address to a thug (a thug who they were supposed to be protected against because of the game design). 

If someone bypassed the protection for hacking a company's vault via the API, the information that allowed that would be instantly removed from it and it would be shut down.

What's the difference between bypassing the protection against hackers or bypassing the protection against bounty reveals?? Because to me they're pretty similar.

I'm at edit 5 but whatever.

Another thought that comes from synthesising the above comments: The fact that this is publicly available information (i hope) doesn't mean that it should be allowed. If the admins are allowing this because "oh, it's the public API, there's nothing against it in the rules", that's incredibly shallow of them. If you had an exploit like what i described earlier that was made using public API, it would be SCRAPPED and that would no longer be public API info. So just being clear that it being public info does not mean that it's okay and that it's cannot be considered scripting abuse (morally, for me, and hopefully for other people too). 

Again, not mad, just baffled at how they're letting this slide.

Thank you to everyone who's participated along the years, this casino will be shutting down in 2 days. 

My original intention was to offer a better experience than the torn casino. That's why I launched Plinko at the end of 2024. I learnt a lot after taking it down and putting it back up again. Launched Slots mid 2025, and recently added dragon tower and mines.

Even with chatgpt I spent nearly two weeks working on the original Plinko (maybe due to my own incompetence), although that gpt was gpt4o, not the current models which can pump out a whole casino in a couple of minutes.

Overall I accept the change. I believe it is a small-minded move that doesn't serve much morally or practically but deep down I always thought they would be get banned eventually.

I hope the people of torn still have access to hustles. However creative. Advertising and casinos have already been cut down. I think running your own creative endeavours is in the heart of torn and if hate to see them all banned.

As I said I believe this is a small-minded move. If you dislike gambling, delete RW caches and your own casino. If you dislike third party casinos, the torn casino is long due for a QOL and content update.
