It is not an issue with connection. I have multiple devices on the same connection and I always experience this on iOS+Safari but never on Android or Windows. I think this is about not getting events hooked up before links or buttons are available and get activated. If you just pace yourself and play really slowly then this doesn't happen nearly as much - it is really annoying to play that way though.
I suggest you make links and button inactive and enable them after the event handlers are attached.
Take a look at your screenshots again. The one from the items page shows that you were trying to take a xanax while you still had 41 minutes on cooldown. No effect and no xanax removed. As intended.
Seen from the outside it does look like you just didn't pay attention - think about it, if xanax consumption was that flawed do you really think the forums would be this quiet about it?
Help out a 9k days old noob... I've tried to search the forums, the wiki and tcbasic but no luck. I seem to remember some kind of benefit (job, stocks, item...) that would give you a discount when buying weapons (not ammo). Am I wrong? Is it an old benefit that does not exist anymore?

TCB is not worth it until you have spare cash you really don't know what to use for or you have friends you trust enough to share the stock with. You can also buy the benefit at the time you set up your bank and sell it immediately but that is a potential risk
Pay is not related to stats only but to the value you present for the company owner. My company doesn't make a lot of money so I pay token salaries - if you want to work for me it should be for the benefits. But if you go to work at a 10* oil rig, maybe you can expect more money with the same stats.

You only need to have the benefit at the time where you make the investment. You can always sell it later so the money isn't spent as such, just tied up temporarily and maybe even making a profit for you if you buy cheap enough.
Since TCB works that way you can also share it with as many people as you like (and trust) making it even more useful.
Yes, TCB is worth it if you have the money lying around anyway but you can maximize the worth if you buy low, share it with good friends and sell high.

If you haven't got the 25k bullets fired merit then think about firing rate as well - love the minigun for that one.
I just read that RESPO bugs are more or less sorted out. Good! That must mean that someone has time to investigate this really annoying issue. You think that it'll be a 2-400 hour issue to fix, I think a lot less. How about a timeboxed investigation of one of the developers to check if there is actually a race condition that if the user (me) clicks the link too fast then callbacks haven't been properly hooked up? You can say any amount of time to investigate and make a proper estimate - an hour even. I think a good javascript developer with knowledge of your site will find out a lot in that time.

The symptoms seem to be the same. The trend in the other thread is that it's based on slow connectivity and it isn't. I play on a variety of different devices at home with the same connection and only the iPad has this issue - and it's consistent.
The problem with the eternal bubbles is not bad connection. My theory is that the AJAX calls are never done because events aren't hooked up properly when the links/buttons are available. So when you click fast (normal speed) the link only activates the bubbles and since no reply ever comes (no request sent) then the bubbles aren't removed again
You're level 12 so my advice would be to keep the DP until you reach level 15. Then sell it, rent a PI with an airport for as long as you can and start moving in flowers. You can easily make the rent and save up for a new DP if you travel a couple of times a day. Using the DP now is short sighted IMO

If you absolutely have to change then I suggest Thirsty.
My experience is that all positions have their value, also marketers, manager and cleaners. At least make sure to get every role covered when you get more employees to move around. I have no proof though, it's just my own subjective experience.
And btw, it's really annoying. A lot more than it sounds like.
