The rectification we are looking for is not only for the bug to be fixed for the future, but for our war to be properly ended with Lupi not being labeled as forfeiting and both sides receiving the loot that we should be awarded.
We played the game by the Torn rules and precedents and should not be left hanging because something outside of our knowledge broke. I absolutely appreciate that devs are allowed days off, however I do not think it is in any way unreasonable for players of a game to follow up on a support ticket that has large impact upon our day-to-day functioning as players. We rely upon the rewards garnered from rank wars, and thus nobody should be surprised that something of this magnitude is being followed quite closely.
If this is not the appropriate channel for continued communication regarding the process, please let us know what the appropriate channel is, and we will gladly follow it. I do not think this is in any way unreasonable, and do not appreciate being spoken to as though I / we are out of line for following up.
Again, we very much appreciate everything the devs and admin do for this game and look forward to a satisfying conclusion to this situation.
Hi there, our faction, Occul2us, was in a war with Lupi. We had a 33 point lead and were letting the lead decay (it has been a very long war). At 22:00 today our lead target was 44. Our lead target should have gone to 0 and ended the war at 23:00 (that was also hour 123 of the war, at which point it should have ended, regardless of target). The war did not end. We then hit three more times, driving the lead to 43 (including once in front of Flare, who watched the target go up) and each time the lead target went up to match, but the war did not end.
Flare advised us that this was likely a bug, and to either get one more hit to put us over the 44 decay rate or wait until the next hour ended. However, the hour ended before we could get another hit in and now the war is over, but it says we forfeited, despite have a 43 point lead at the end of the war.
I hope that this bug can be fixed, and that my team can get the W and loot they so sorely deserve.
Only bring this guy in if you want a scrub who's going to put your war in jeopardy so they can train off E meant for war hits, refuses to listen to faction leadership, and attempts to swing the war to your opponent when they get called out on their childish behavior. 0 out of 5 stars, would not recommend. Can't get rid of this knob fast enough.
This is very helpful information that none of us were aware of before, thank you for sharing that. In our minds the fixing of the situation for the future was very much separate from what we assumed was simply manually fixing the outcome of our current war. Obviously, waiting until the bug is fixed is not what folks want to hear, but if that is protocol, that is protocol. We just needed to know that. So again, thank you for sharing.
And just to clarify, at no point did I demand an answer to why the dev was inactive. That truly does not matter at all. Their life is theirs as mine is mine. I merely pointed it out to ensure that folks were aware that a case was assigned to someone who was inactive. Again, this is likely low priority for Torn, but it's high priority for us as players (I have folks who literally are unable to do things like pay PI fees because the money they were waiting on is not in), so yes we were looking at every angle of what might impede or expedite the process.
At the end of the day it is just about communication. If it's going to take a day, awesome. If it's going to take a week, just let us know and we won't be bugging you the next day. We have zero context, so helping us understand the process will go a long way toward folks not assuming the worst of one another.
Again, thank y'all for assisting, and hopefully we'll be out of your hair soon!

I just attempted to start reading Higher, Daddy Higher, and the page lagged and refused to load. Now I have lost the ability to read the book, but the book is not running. I have checked my logs and there is no indication I began reading the book, nor is there any indicator that it is running. Please help!
Justice has been served! Bug has been fixed and rewards sent. Though someone JUST had the same exact thing happen: https://www.torn.com/war.php?step=rankreport&rankID=29553
TBF our roster max of 100 is just because it was our old main shell. We shuffled things about and now we just have a huge roster max and never use it (we're almost always a 10-15 person crew) lol
Nope. Because who knows when the bug will be fixed. Apparently nobody cares to take the three seconds to check what should have been rewarded and maybe do right by the people who pay the bills instead of relying on "protocol" that f**ks them over.
Flame was very kind and understanding, but unfortunately had nothing for us beyond what had already been said regarding protocol. Bogie may be the next move.
Still nothing on the bug report except threats from various folks for "bugging the devs." I've reached back out to flare who largely handled the original reporting to see if there's anything else to be done. Waiting to hear back.
This whole situation made me go back to my last bug report, which was also confirmed, corroborated, and which also has not been fixed. I have not received any compensation for it. That bug report was from Christmas Town 2023....
Totally understand that their protocol is to not payout anything until the bug is fixed but given their track record, and the relative rarity of this bug hitting, it seems likely that nothing is going to be done in any kind of timely fashion. So are folks who put time and money into this game going to continue on without the rewards they earned because of a bug that we had nothing to do with? We had folks relying on those rewards to make PI payments and otherwise keep their gameplay moving... yet all we get is either silence, or admonishment for questioning the process. How much effort does it take to check the algo and see what each team would have been rewarded and cashing it out. Everybody knows the outcome. Everybody knows the score. There's nothing ambiguous here. No tricks. Just pay us what was earned.
