[background color=var(--bbc-body-bg-color)]Heya there, This is Slomes and it's my first post :)
As of writing this guide I am LVL 26, 145 days into the game,
so not a newbie anymore, but still very much a late-early game player.
After being encouraged to make a post, I now want to share how I train as a pretty active,
but semi-relaxed player that is unwilling to adjust their sleep schedule for stacking etc.,
And doesn't have infinite money, however likes to be fairly economical and practical.
I've read a bunch of guides for training (as should you), and they are greatly informative,
but are also usually very unspecific and standardized to 24h booster and no bonuses,
while also being mostly catered to mid and late game.
So here is a more specific and late-early focused plan that I came up with as my schedule:
My Prerequisites/Situation:
I'm out of the mud and have have Donator status,
5025H PI rental with marriage cost split, and I am in a
faction with 50% Voracity, and 48h booster CD cap.
I still have stats range that benefits from happy training.
I also have a decent cash flow, but want to be a bit economical
to increase my NW to get that 2B bank stash.
I also recently got my 25NNB!
(side notes on crime at bottom)
The Schedule
1: 24h booster cd, 0E. start stacking xanax.
I do this schedule back to back unless interrupted by something,
so we usually start with a 24h cd on the booster
when taking the first xan, not 0h.
Ideally start stacking the 1 Xan before bed,
so you can do 3 Xan on the following day
and then jump the morning after.
While drug cd is up, I fly for the moneys (longer trips),
buy my daily 100 beer, regret my stock positions,
chat with faction, and or read guides in the forum cause knowledge is best.
If things drag out cause I missed timing or RL stuff and my booster cd is down,
Then I just drink some beer and do crime, so cd is still about done when I'm ready as planned.
2: If all goes planned, in the morning: 0h booster cd, 1kE.
Wait for xx:15/30/45/00 clock
for 15min until happy reset, so no time pressure.Use 96x150H candy (225H voracity)
Use 75x 150H candy (225H voracity) + 21 x 100H candy (150H voracity)
or 96x other candy from 35H upwards if you do a budget jump.
top it off with 1x Edvd for 54h booster cd,
but only if you use the big jump setting, otherwise
just use 1 more candy or skip topping).
Use ecstasy.
(225x75=)16875+(150x21=)3150+5025+2500= 27550x2=551000H, 1kE
Jump on a single stat with best fitting Gym available
(if i don't forget to switch lol)
points refill, 150E extra
either double down on same stat, or
put that into another one that could use a bump.
Done! Big gains. Big hole in wallet.
I just spent a lot of money,
and I have limited cash flow,
so it's time to go budget mode.
I wait for natE regen while flying.
Switz for rehab if I got addiction debuff.
3: The booster cd is 'pretty damn high', so I now have some off time.
While i wait for it to go down from 48h or 54h to 24h cd,
I train my natE and travel 4h for money.
since Ecstasy has 3-4h cd, and natE regens in 5h,
I will usually travel to the UK or Argentina, then come back.
Then I smoke weed and do crimes, then fly for an hour.
(weed 1-2h drug cd).
4: Now I have 150E, and no drug cd.
I use ecstasy to double my 5025H->10050H, then train the 150E.
Let's call it the "Joy Skip"!
Ecstasy is very affordable at 40k a pop,
the CD is convenient, and it bumps your gains well (30-40% more gains).
I also get a step closer to 50 use merit.
I might do a point refill sometimes, if I have a lot of points saved up.
I reliably get all my points from Leslies wheels,
so I never run out and I don't need to buy any.
Then I repeat travel and weed+crimes.
Do this little loop as often as I can before bed.
I also instead of Ecstasy+natE sometimes use LSD+natE,
so I can get the 50 use merit out of the way.
It gives 2-500 happy, 50E, and 5 nerve,
but the cd is longer than natE regen which is bad,
but also good in another way.
You can also do the 2-3 Xan+natE in this time window, however
Xanax costs money, and we are in budget mode rn after the big jump.
I can see myself doing this when I did a cheap jump,
like one with 96x35/50/75/100H candy without topping.
But generally I don't want to do this type yet,
cause part of the point of joy skipping is getting the 50 use merits done.
It's really up to you and your wallet which way you do this tho.
Be flexible about what you do!
When you got the 50 merit in ecstasy and LSD,
it is recommended to switch to the classic 2-3 Xan.
LSD, why?
to work through the 50 use merit, while also being practical about it.
When I use LSD, I make use of the otherwise excess natE until drug cd is free,
to do duke missions, while I wait for drug cd and max natE to align.
The 200E LSD train gives less stats than the Ecstasy 150E train atm for me.
I assume though it will beat ecstasy later when my stats grow further and E>H.
I usually do the Ecstasy loop unless I'm nearing mission cap of 3.
I will however generally stop using LSD as soon as i get my 50 use merit,
cause it's just not as practical and flexible, given the higher drug cd.
---
With some jumbling around and some beer assistance
to assist with time management and crimes,
I will end up at 24h booster cd and 0 drug cd again,
and then repeat from step 1.
If I'm on point and use 48h booster jump, I can do a jump every 2d,
if not I do one every 3d, and do the natE mixed stuff for 2 days.
This gives me good gains while slightly min-maxing my time and resources,
even though I dont put timers for waking up to take xanax or whatever.
I just play active and make sure to get my stuff done on time over the day.
Some Math
Now 150E candy jump seems expensive, but if you buy at the right price,
it's better than pure Edvds of the standard "Happy Jump" that gets recommended.
2500H EDVD= 3.125mil
8x2500H=20,000 H
effectively costs 1286$/1H
I only do 48*/56h jumps instead of 24h,
because of above schedule so that means
150H Candy
50% voracity->225H
96x225= 21,600 H
225x1286$=289,350$ cap cost
before Edvd is better value per happy
with current example Edvd cost.
3.125mil/12=260,417$ break even
for the same jump cost as pure Edvd.
I usually try to buy below 260k,
which means I both spend less money, AND get better gains.
I would concider using Edvd if the candy goes above 260k.
which means I spend more money, but still better value per Happy.
and definitely use Edvd if candy goes above 289k.
which means I would spend more money, and get worse value per Happy.
.
Both prices shift, so I regularly check them to see
if I'm still on point with my candy or need to switch.
If I use Edvd or 225H candy,
I will top up the 48h booster cd with
another Edvd for 56h booster cd.
If I use other candy I only go for
96 or 97 candy and 48/48.5h booster cd,
because those are budget jumps.
Update (thanks to Kapachi [2850863] for the great suggestion):
For even more savings, you can use
9.375x225H and 2.625x150H candy instead of Edvd.
75x225H+21x150H=20,025H vs 8 edvd at 20,000H.
An Edvd has 2500H at 6h booster cd.
Depending on market conditions, you are able to save 1-5mil $/jump!
when compared to using just Edvd or full 225H candy,
while getting basically the same gains as pure Edvd happy jump.
For the math here, use this formula:
for 80x150H+16x100H: (C-2xB)/10=A
for 75x150H+21x100H: (C-2,625B)/9,375=A
Where A=150H candy, B=100H candy, C= Edvd cost.
I have adopted this as the main recommendation in the above shedule.
Budgeting
27-35mil jump every 2ish days is expensive, so
I will usually do only 1-4 of these costly jumps per month.
Otherwise I just do the jump procedure as listed above, but
instead use 96 of the cheaper candy,
depending on how my budget looks.
No Edvd, but maybe 1 candy topping,
so a total 48h or 48.5h booster cd.
Best price value is ofc the big choco,
but any candy other than the 150H(225) is good.
I personally think the 50H candy is trash cause big choc is 35H,
but otherwise just pick and match depending on market and my wallet.
Since the added 6h Edvd for 54h booster cd throws off the neat 48h,
I usually have some shifting around of timings and cds,
but I just balance it out with beer, weed, and do other things.
Hence a more casual approach that mixes various things.
There's ofc RW and Chains also, which usually disrupt my pattern,
but I can juggle things around and RW gives good money and merits
(helps pay for those big jumps!),
while chaining also gives good merits, lvl exp, and respect, so that's great.
Also I gain respect for the faction so we can get more of those juicy perks!
Post note on crime:
I read a bunch of guides yesterday,
before deciding to just go "f**k it lets try Arson".
Using https://torn.report/crimes/ data,
I did an estimated 282 Arsons worth of crime so far.
I have 25 NNB, and started without a lighter, but with weed).
Results: 12 green, 3 blue before writing the guide.
So that's 80% success, and no harm on the 20%.
Will keep doing it more until I get a red and then see
Update: I am now 30NNB, 483 green, 8 blue, 6 red. 97.18% success rate.
I also bought the lighter after a bit, since it seems I can do it reliably,
so I might as well bump my chances further.
Don't wait until 30NNB to do Arson!
You can start with 25NNB and save a lot of time,
because its so much better than jackets and robbery.
Just use weed and test the waters a bit.
Having the faction crime perks helps a lot here too i assume.
If you dont get good results,
just keep doing thorough robbery for a few more days.
Also stop doing choco theft if you still do it. It's good early money,
but stop doing it as soon as you have a PI rental.
Weed!
Weed never gets mentioned in crime guides I read so far,
but it buffs success rate, gives some nerve,
doesn't OD you (and if it does, hey, that's a merit!),
and has a super short cd. It's also dirt cheap!
Anyways I came up with this neat semi casual shedule
for late-early game stats training + merits + NNB + NW.

Also I want to give a shoutout to my buddy
Catfiz [2457356] for bringing me into the game!
Waveware [2744453] for being a cool guy and helping me early!
Hell-Cat [2534899] for just all-around being awesome, and a big help to me!
Karen [1875132] for being very kind and taking me into her 10* company for a while!
And to the faction Forged In Fire which has many nice people, and I like being there.
Thanks for reading,
Let me know what you think!
Cheers o7

Hi i think this should be adjusted slightly,
cause it cant be that you spend huge amounts of N on a target for full destruction,
and it settles just barely at 99%, requiring you to spend another 5N just to get it to 100%.
This happens way too often for it to be okay. Numbers should match so that you get a clean burn when you spend so much N.
Or maybe an automatic rounding up to 100% if its close somehow,
since theres various materials and its a complex math on how much damage you will do etc.
But im sure you have the "optimal way to burn down" formulas for the material use, so maybe adjustments there.
Either way its not fun whenever this happens ( very often), and it sucks having to spend so much nerve extra.
It never stops at 95,96,97, or 98, always 99.
Please consider, thank you.
whos finally having some break time from war offshore, to hosp them for 7h.
Mighty proud of that one i hope!
Edit: i was wrong, wasn't from Cata ^^

Orbit Culture is so amazing. Saw them twice this year. Was a good year lol
Was in the moshpit whole time, and they drop banger after banger with no respite
Highly recommend to see them live!
thanks, been listening to this band for 2 days now!
Lots of albums so a good backlog for me to listen to P:
Havent heard of them before, but funny enough I know (and love) "Nightmares by the Sea" by Jeff Buckley,
and i could swear i heard a cover of "Leaders" before that sounds really similar, cause i know this song and i heard it multiple times before,
but im sure i havent listened to this band specifically before (and i can't seem to find the cover so now im not sure if maybe i listened to the original somehow lol)
cheers
Brave Browser v1.74.50
Windows 10 Home (Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045)
I tested in Edge Browser and its smooth there, so no replication.
Can confirm, just tested it and its the same there too.
I disabled torntools and tampermonkey,
but even with vanilla torn its slowing down a lot,
and when theres a bunch of email responses it turns into and insufferable crawl each time with input delay on the responses.
i have >800k emails, dont know if its relevant.
its the only page this happens and i dont have a potato pc.
The slow has been the case for a long time now.
Got confirmation from at least one other person that its slow for them too.

I think the biggest issue of this crime is that the loot value for different targets changes when new crimes and items get released or added to locations, but it doesnt take into account the skewed spawn chance for cs100.
Burglary pays less the higher you get in lvl because you get shit like Ad agency constantly, and good loot locations which are often earlier cs lvl ones get more rare.
Early access targets that spawn new crime relevant items have terrible odds of appearing if you have higher CS.
For example in commercial, at early cs you can find markets at 26%, at 100CS you barely find them,
but you get shitty ad agency and chiropractor all the time. which equals 3N wasted because its not worth casing at all.
I think this needs to be fixed. Recruitment Agency might be decent but i dont know cause its such a huge nerve drain it doesnt feel worth casing either when compared to the good spots like Market, Self Storage, Potstal, Cleaning, Dentist.
Right now "being good" at Burglary (high CS) means you get worse targets.
i think the spawn rates should be equalized a good bit more, so its not as skewed.
high CS unlocked should ahve a lower spawnrate, and lower and middle CS unlocked should get buffed a bit.
