Cancer is such an unjust disease. Every family has lost someone to this disease. Be it a mother, father, son, daughter brother or sister. We’ve all felt that loss at some point and it’s tragic.


My condolences go out to this young man, his family and loved ones who I’m sure have very heavy hearts right now.


I’m not a religious man, but I hope that they find their solace and comfort. Life is not easy and life is not fair.


Rest In Peace, young man. You fought a hard battle, you gave it hell. Now you can rest, undisturbed and without pain.

Old Gregg once brought Howard Moon down to Gregg’s place. Howard was fishing in my waters, when his hook got caught in Old Gregg’s head and he pulled me up with his strong arms. I asked him if he wanted to go to club where people wee on each other and if he’s ever drunk Bailey’s from a shoe, but he was scared of Old Gregg. This upset me, like Curly Jefferson did, I said “I know what you’re thinking, ‘Here comes Old Gregg. He’s a scaly man-fish.’ You don’t know me. You don’t know what I got. I got something to show you. You know what that is? That’s Old Gregg’s vagina. I’ve got a mangina! I’m Old Gregg!”


When Howard woke up we were in Gregg’s place. He asked me where he was and I told him, “Gregg’s place. You’ve been asleep. Do you want a little drinky? I’ll get you a drink. You like Bailey’s? Mmmm—creamy. Soft, creamy beige.”

Old Gregg tried so hard to get Howard to love him, but Howard wanted to leave. I told him “you must love me exactly as I love you” and I even showed him my watercolors of myself and said “I call that one Old Gregg. And then that one I call Old Gregg. And this one, you know what I call that one?” He replied, “Old Gregg?” And I said “Yes sir, thank you sir.” Then I showed him some more, I held up some drawings of Bailey’s and said “I got some more. I got these too. That one, Bailey’s and that one’s Bailey’s a bit bigger. And that one’s as close as you can get to Bailey’s without your eyes getting wet.”

I asked him if he loved me and he said he hardly knew me, I replied “Oh, you know me. You’ve seen my downstairs mix-up.” He said he didn’t ask to see that and I said “What did it mean to you to see that? Did it mean you love me?” he told me he didn’t love me and I asked him “could you learn to love me?”. He told me he’d never love me and to just deal with it, so I said “Maybe I’ll deal with it the way I dealt with Curly Jefferson.”

When he saw Curly Jefferson he ran away from Old Gregg.
