Likes as archived at fetch time, adjusted for how long each post had been up. Scored posts only; the full score pass runs after the import.
Basically, whenever an item is posted for sale at $1 it is allocated to a random group of players, with everyone else prevented from purchasing said item. Each player has roughly a 1 in 100 chance of being eligible to buy any one item posted at $1.
This feature was introduced to prevent scripters from hoovering up all the bargains at the expense of everyone else, allowing the $1 items to be distributed across a broad range of players. We understand it may be disappointing to see a bunch of locked goodies, but it's better than seeing nothing, and we expect this function will also improve lag during the event.
