I'd love to find more contemporary medieval times media that isn’t high fantasy(my least favorite genre). They either romanticize it or make it all gritty and dark, sometimes both. Someone doing genuine research would see that the old millennium could be dark or inspiring all on it’s own.
Although, in some parts of the world people don’t have sanitation, electricity, or access to medical care. I guess these are awful times too.
I can’t remember any victorian novel portraying an idealized setting. In the romantic era that was all about realism, the harsh realities of life, and yes love that was sometimes bittersweet people found blue skies as humans would in any century. If you look only for gloom you will always see gloom. The fairytale-like stories were definitely an outlet for all classes. You might as well call every century before the 20th century "garbage" because of the conditions that were prevalent in the "western" world.

I did not know there was a Men's Mental Health Awareness month. I did not know there was a Women’s Mental Health Awareness month. I did not think anyone cared about these things. It isn’t as if they are particularly talked about. If the statistics are to be believed, then I have always known except I didn’t think the gap to be so large. It makes me wonder if women do more suicidal ideation rather than going through with it.
Going back to the statistics do you know why the person below you posted them even after you said that?

I left for a year. Coming back occasionally to put money in the bank and take an ED course. It was very enjoyable, and to be away from this game was... refreshing. I definitely won’t be as hardcore as I used to be.
Being an actual female in this game is very different, however not the good kind of 'different'. I'm sick so I'll come back to this later
