Three years in, casual player. I avoid posting for self-preservation, but I'm an avid forum reader. Digitally dumb. The recent AI music posts caught my attention. Decided to give it a try. I put very little effort into it, and as part-time musician who still records music on tape...

I don't even know how to post properly. Maybe someone will put a proper link for me. I just find it fascinating that I (or anyone) can easily generate a song. Strange times we live in. ❤️ 🎶

It happens while I’m scrolling backward without sending anything myself. No new messages were arriving in faction chat during the tests. The reset happened while I was scrolling backward through existing history.

So far I’ve only tested faction chat, so I can’t confirm whether other chats are affected.

I have screen recordings from both TornPDA and mobile Chrome with all userscripts disabled and can upload them.

I can send you the recordings privately, as they contain faction chat messages.

Update: I’ve now reproduced the same reset in company chat. I could reach older dates, seemingly because there are fewer messages, but it still jumped back.

On one attempt it showed an error saying it couldn’t retrieve more messages. On another attempt it reset my position instead.

I checked existing reports, including “Fac chat,” but didn’t find this exact behaviour. If it’s already covered by that confirmed bug, please grave this.

While scrolling backward through faction chat history, it suddenly jumps back to today’s messages around 14:00, losing my place. I’m not sending messages when this happens.

This happens in both TornPDA and mobile Chrome with all userscripts disabled, at both slow and fast scrolling speeds. How far back I can get varies—sometimes a few days, sometimes over a month.

In Chrome, one attempt reached August 6 before showing “Failed to fetch messages — Rate limit reached,” then returning to today around 14:00.

The Booth at the End (2011). Might be worth a shot if you haven't seen it. Pretty strange little series, almost entirely people talking in a diner, but it gets a lot more interesting than that sounds. Don't look up too much about it first.

I was under the impression that items couldn't spawn behind buildings, walls, etc. First year using the script and I found this one. It can't be seen with the script off and there doesn't seem to be a way past the Cop NPC to get to it. He insta-hosps you and I can't find a path from the east. I even tried all the Labyrinth portals. I actually saw a player standing just to the right of the gift and sent them a screenshot but they couldn't remember how they got there. 

It's on the Christmas Town map at the corner of Farm Road and Farm Lane. It's on Farm Lane not in the yard as it appears.

Anybody notice that the Scamming scraper is farming emails slower than usual?  I'm at around 650k and was keeping a pretty close eye on it for the past 12ish hours knowing the scraper was about to fail.  I got a new one going 5 hours ago, flew to Switzerland and back and it had only collected 50ish mails.

edit: Nevermind. Just read about the bell curve: They'll farm slowly shortly after being deployed, speed up dramatically, then slow down as their lifespan reaches its end.

Yes, well aware. But more people read here. The music forum is kinda dead. I'm just reaching out, hopefully finding someone to collaborate with. Kindred spirit. 

Well aware that that this isn't the proper forum to post in but...I know there's a lot of bored and talented people here. A couple months ago I begrudgingly started playing around with ChatGPT. And that led me to mureka.ai  

I always considered that stuff to be cheating. But it's kinda fun. I'm just learning. Reddit is probably a more appropriate place to post,  but...I love the community here. I'm torn forum dumb. Anyone wanna take me under their wing?
