- Summoning skeletons is necromancy, just not as likely to get you run through as animating corpses.
- Casting is a cross of Oblivion and Skyrim. You can cast one spell with your hands full with the spell coming from the main weapon hand, or more powerful if using two free hands. At master level, you have more leeway on what you can do as long as you check with the admin or a moderator. Spells exclusive to Oblivion exist, but are rare.
- By default, potions are unidentified. You can tell if it's beneficial or poison with a small taste, but only expert or better Alchemists can tell the exact effect. Sometimes you can tell by the color, but that's no guarantee, beneficial potions are generally softer colors, and poisons are brighter or sharper colors.
- Werewolves can Identify each other and vampires. Vampires can tell the difference between a Lord, and a normal vampire, they can also identify werewolves. Both also smell undead, and non-scentless poisons. A Vampires bite has euphoric properties.
- Stamina potions are instantaneous energy drinks without negative side effects. Same for Magicka potions, but not health potions; they're over time, though accelerated.
- Novice and Apprentice Healers leave scars.
- I or someone I give permission to controls all monsters unless stated otherwise, if you want to control a particular npc pm me.
- I reserve the right to tell you your character is too powerful, but I probably won't; the character I'm posting first is in the upper limits of power I'll allow, I'll be posting a second character as well that's more moderate.
- You don’t need to be as detailed as I was.
- The Dragonborn might appear later but if it does it’ll go to someone who’s been consistent in the thread and not for awhile.
- I'll now give an example of a created character.
Age: Around since the oblivion Crisis 24 when changed
Sex: Male
Species: Breton
Powers/Skills/Magic: Dragonskin. Magic Resistance. Vampire weaknesses and strengths, not a lord. Master spear wielder, and can move in and out of combat easier due to light armor. Expert skill in sneak, supplemented by his expert skill in Illusion. Has a strong enough will for Conjuration, tends to summon Ice attronach's more than anything else. An Master user of destruction specializing in Ice, avoiding fire since his transformation (Ice spells can paralyze). A few shield spells from alteration, and a healing spell are also in his repritore. Uses Spell Absorption and Telekinesis from Mysticism.
Weapons/Gear: Ebony Spear Enchanted with absorb Magicka and Frost Damage. (Occasional Paralyze if low health due to Frost Spec) Wears well-made dark blue glass armor (The gold is black, the green is the color of sapphire) with enchantments that boost speed and agility on the leggings, enchantments that boost sneak on the boots, enchantments for extra armor on the chest, ease of destruction magic on the gloves. Wears a large, hooded robe over all of this which grants more magicka and faster regeneration, as well as the usual wear and tear enchantments. If the hood is pulled fully closed, he can stay in the daylight due to enough cover. Carries Vials of blood he keeps cool with magic.
Personality: The years have brought Vincent patience, and while he never backs down, he no longer brags. The lust for adventure is still there, but it's more of a wanderlust at this point, Slaying dragons sounds fun at this point. Vincent feels life has lost much of it's meaning, but watching everyone you've loved die does that. In a group, he stays to himself, but always willing to pop in with advice. On the verge of becoming suicidal, and is lucky to have not gone feral.
Description: Vincent has pale skin. He was born with bright emerald green eyes, and after the change they slowly change to red every day without blood before turning back when he gains blood. His hair was jet black before the change and it hasn't changed any. It reaches to just below his ears, in a shaggy ruffian way. Stands at five foot ten, tall for a Breton.
Bio: Vin was born as a minor noble in High Rock. He was tested for magic at an early age, and succeeding was trained in it to great success. He was also trained in the spear after he showed a knack for it when they were looking for a weapon for him to consider. In later years, after his sixteenth birthday, he was in another nobles house. A higher ranked noblewoman wanted him to bed her, and shocked and a little disgusted he refused. He was accused of attempted **** and fled to hammerfell. He journeyed there for a year before continuing southeast to Cyrodiil. From there he wandered, and eventually partnered with the Hero of Kvatch to take down oblivion gates.
After the oblivion Crisis he began to settle down with a lover but took one last mission a year after his child was born. Though he succeeded in clearing out the vampires, he was changed in the process. Fearing lack of control, he stayed away; and became a wanderer as he kept his feeding to bandits and smugglers. Many, many years have passed, and he now wanders Skyrim; looking for a purpose.
Vincent was halfway from Dawnstar to Winterhold, he'd heard a rumor about a cure and was going to inquire at the college to see if anyone else had heard as he had, palming one of his bottles of blood, he took a sip before plugging it with the stopper again. He let out a tired sigh when he saw the snow bear approaching him and cast a calm spell on it before passing it by. The snow was blowing harshly, blotting out the setting sun, and impairing his hearing, it wouldn't be impossible like usual; for someone to sneak up on him, though they'd have to be very good and trying with his hearing.
Second Character of a more moderate strength:
Name:Seras Resero
Age: 20
Sex: Female
Species: Imperial
Powers/Skills/Magic: Excellent with a Bow and Sneaking. A good Pickpocket. Decent Lockpick. Minimal skill with melee weapons. Great Alchemist - can tell a potions effect through a small taste, poison user and invisibility potions. Highly Flexible.
Weapons/Gear: Reinforced Glass Bow, Elven Arrows. Hidden Iron Dagger applied with Paralyze poison. Poisons. Stealth. A blackened thieves guild armor set, a Black leather backpack, and a black fur cloak.
Personality: When Seras isn't on a job, she likes to have fun; get her in the tavern for the night and she'll attempt to keep up with the Nords and likely make a fool of herself, or end up in someones bed. She likes to joke or poke fun at people, but it's usually not in a malicious manner. On a job she loves the thrill of it all, slipping past a guard and perhaps pick pocketing him for some extra coin on top of her job. She's never killed anyone innocent, unless your counting Thalmor, she makes it a point to take them out from a distance. She won't openly choose a side in the Civil War, but she's a hidden worshiper of Talos and tries to take out imperial soldiers if they're escorting captured Stormcloaks, she usually just snipes them; It's worked a surprising amount.
Description: Seras has black hair that runs down just past her shoulders, she ties this into a tight bun before going outside of towns. She's lithe and any muscles she has are elongated rather than bulky, her chest appears almost flat under leather armor. She stands at five foot five one hundred twenty three pounds. Bright green eyes lay on her face above high; but soft cheekbones, her lips seem to be in a perpetual smile. As small slightly upturned nose and there's a faded scar made from a blade from the her lower left jaw, about an inch from the lips, that stretches to behind her ear. She has an overall pixie-like face. If not for the lack of distinctive forehead wrinkles she could almost be mistaken for a breton.
Bio: Seras grew up in the Honorhall Orphanage, and due to the cruel owner Grelod, she always tried to escape. On her third try she was beaten but she didn't stop. It would not be until her fifth try that she got away when she was thirteen, after stealing Grelod's key while she slept. Rather than running for the gates, that always got her caught so she sneaked into the Ratways. She found the Ragged Flagon after avoiding Lowlifes and exploring a bit. Her potential impressed Mercer and a younger Brynjolf and she was trained to become even better. She is perhaps the most well rounded member of the guild currently, and often only stops at the cistern to drop off her share and fence Items. Well loved for the profit she brings in, and that even when nocturnals curse seems to kick in she manages to avoid being caught.
Seras took a drink of ale as she sat down for dinner at the bannered mare, looking around, the main tavern of Whiterun was just begginining to fill. She was thinking about getting a bed for the night before she began the long journey back to Riften in the morning. She'd heard about bandits holding up the road, she might have to hire a bodyguard; and for that reason she kept a watch on who came in.
