absolutely should not be a thing. it would be abused.

currently have a guy unblocking/ignoring to send hateful messages and then re-block and ignore to many people. people like him would abuse it so they cant be attacked by their long list of enemies. He's being put down all day everyday for a plethora of very valid reasons not only by my self and others.
giving someone like that a free escape on top of things like early discharge by joining factions with staged wars, bounty protection, etc would be exploited more than utilized properly.

Torn is a boomer game. While i appreciate the sentiment you're not going to convince any of these people gen ai is bad. They are the target demographic 😭

you can tell a bunch of torn players are pensioners now because the past 2 articles are some of the most lamest personal drama stuff ever. not a lot going on in life it seems. games pretty old after all.

i was more referencing player ads and arts, i DNS block for work so i don't really see any outside of that. Gen AI is bad, utilizing it as an actual tool in coding has been a thing for a long time, I'm not upset about that either personally, because i know and experience that first hand.

almost every user uploaded art and PFP on here is ai these days. from my perspective, it just kind of confirms the game's populated by a lot of pensioners (i mean some 20 yr old accounts, etc. there's bound be a good number) because old heads LOVE gen ai. Due to that you get a lot of people creating and often fabricating drama out of boredom since they're home all day without anything to do outside of Torn's naturally volatile environment we all love. things like this are bound to happen due to those stars aligning kind of thing, and not just limited to Torn. I agree it's absolutely annoying, but that's really it. I don't think we can do much about it either than just grit our teeth and be one of the non gen ai users.
I'd rather someone spend their energy doing that stuff on here than causing the same sort of issues offline to an HoA or something, though. once you realize its basically an online retirement home (respectfully) things make a lot more sense. though i shouldn't talk ill be there in a handful more of years too.

nah i love my retirees there's just more to retirement life than sending a newsletter to an entire games playerbase over a banker fuck up in your friends faction or an argument over the in game equivalent of $2 dollars.

trustworthy and reliable, 10/10

this site is mostly 40+ year olds man. they are the target audience for AI. 

the sad truth is this game is mostly boomers who got stuffed into lockers in high school, and thus take it out on randoms online. 

DBs dont matter anyways because these large factions have 9 sister factions and 11 under umbrella protection/puppet leadership zzzz
