The way I interperate Ched's comment is that the temp page will go out of service soon because a permanant solution is close to being ready. Ched's and Clansdancer's comments don't have to contradict each other.
I would like the hit area for the close button to be expanded. More specifically to the top, bottom, and right edge of the chat title bar.
The current hit area for the close button is marked here in red. Everywhere in green is the hit area for minimise. This means that for example you can hit the area just to the right of the close button, and trigger a minimise, despite being closer to the close icon than the minimise icon.
This is what I suggest the hit area for the close button get changed to. Filling the top, bottom, and right areas of the icon.
Alternatively, if for some reason that change isn't feasible, then could we have the top, bottom, and right areas just dead zone. So clicking there does nothing at all.
Interesting to see those metrics. That goes in to more detail than I did.
If I came across as overly negative, let me try and redeem myself by offering some direct praise. As someone who has a lot of city items, I really appreciate the date-based grouping. Especially how it works retroactively on finds prior to it's introduction.
I think we have different preferences with gaming, so we probably wont see eye to eye on this topic. I have a dislike for daily reward systems. I'm not opposed keeping the single 100-day honour, I just don't believe we need any more.
My post was a mixture curiosity and minor annoyance. But don't put too much stock in the annoyance part.
It just stemmed from feeling like I'd been clearing the new version notification a lot more often lately, and I wanted to check that I wasn't imagining things. I was imaging a potential one week cadence could reduce those notifications but wasn't sure if that'd be realistic. Your explanation of being at the mercy of third party systems makes a lot of sense. I appreciate you taking the time to explain how your process works.
You shouldn't need to do anything special. Just play the game normally and they'll eventually show up. If you want a slight boost there is the Awareness enhancement. That will give you an extra 2% chance, up to 20% at 10/10.
Only if the "edited by" explicitly calls out who all the previous editor(s) have been.
Consider a situation where I make a post. bogie then edits it to put something problematic in. Later I make another edit, without noticing/reverting what bogie did. If the footer only displayed "last edited by nix" then people could be oblivious to the bogie edit in between, and mistakenly attribute the contents to me alone.
I'm happy with the existing 100-days honor and don't feel like we need more.
As someone who has been playing for >20 years, one of the things I like about the game is how it doesn't suck up unreasonable amount of my time. On average I probably miss a day once ever 2 months due to real life.
I want to start off by saying I appreciate the work the devs for TornTools do. Especially since they don't get paid for it.
I've noticed since the start of May (v9.0) there has been a significant increase in the frequency of updates. To quantity that:
In the period of 2025-05-01 to 2026-04-30 (365 days) there were 25 updates. 365/25 = an average of 1 update every 14.3 days.
In the period of 2026-05-01 to 2026-07-08 (69 days) there were 14 updates. 69/14 = an average of 1 update every 4.9 days
This equates to a near 3x increase in the update frequency. I'd be curious to learn what's been behind this significant change? Do you have a policy regarding a release cadence, and if not, would you consider putting one in pace?
This is the long thread, so apologies if its already been asked/answered before.
I like the idea of the proposed day. It's occurrence during June would fit nicely. That month presently only has 1 event.
I like the idea of a "Protein Shake" item. It fits the theme of other item boosts. Similar to the days for beer, candy, and energy drinks. Although, the exact boost it gives might need some balancing.
I'm not sold on the exclusive gym. Perhaps an alternative idea could be to open up all the gyms during the event. Allow players to pick any gym and enter regardless of the stat requirements and no unlock fee.
