why this should be implemented? look at trade chat, profile signature, and other url most people using short url to redirect back to torn (bazaar, faction, company, etc) and some people direct to outside more than torn forum. if this increasing, some might find suspicious or phising site idk. but back to classic forum, short link is useful to promote their own thread and keep torn forum active rather than using other website.
title says it all, i accidentally open events i want to unsee it to remind me later when land/arrived at torn, i am afraid i will forget what event was about and start travel again.

tbh im sick seeing long url on chat, and can only just imagine if it was shorter we don't know where we're going just by seeing tinyurl or 3rd party's short url. but if its in torn, we know by the letter,
