Hi, I'm Lune! ♥ And I just hit 1,000 days today!! (Hooray for me!) Now the question is, why's this random girl whom I've never seen before making a post on my lawn forum?
Well... lemme storytell you in this fine day while you (and I) have nothing better to do than to read me, heh. TLDR at the end because I care about your time.
When I started, I was that annoying hyperactive player who was spending many hours learning about the game, spending my vast free time reading the wiki and on:
Dog Tags (RIP)
Halloween
Elimination (not RIP anymore!)
Island War (the reason why I was so active to begin with, maybe it was a burn out for many people -even me- but I felt that it gave life and purpose to the game)
Ranked War (if you still have that feeling of excitement looking forward on who your next opponent will be, I'm happy for you! If you have lost that fire by now, then I get you.)
Torn felt like a second home. I had people to ping, chains to join, drama to popcorn... It was messy, entertaining, challenging and chaotic and I loved it because, nonetheless, it was fun! (maybe the drama not so much but you get me, maybe).
1000 days later, maybe drama was too overwhelming, maybe a few important friends quit, maaaybe I eventually forgot about the social aspect of the game and didn't find anything else to do, but this is my schedule now:
log in → spam Xanax → crimes → maybe a faction war → log out *thisgameplayisfire.png*
I know I know, it's my fault for not being more social or finding better things to do. I'm certain that many of you have a lot of things to do in the game that we all love and hate (one more than the other) - Which is why I've come to you, dear forum.
So here’s my question, and I genuinely would love to read the different perspective of the answers (or not, you do you):
🌙 What keeps you playing Torn? 🌙 Is it friends? Faction wars? Events? Seeing your stats go up every day for that dopamine hit? A whale with sunk cost fallacy? 🌙 Or are you also in that “quiet ghost who can't and won't quit” phase like me?
I’m kind of hoping this thread reminds me (and maybe a few others) why we stayed through the good, the bad and whatever your story may be :o
And thanks for taking your time and being part of my 1,000-day story, even if you didn’t know you were, or who I am, or why the heck did you read all of this 💖
TL;DR: I just want to know what makes Torn still special for everyone! Everyone welcome even those that will say "can i has ur stuff?" Yeah just that :]
You're probably talking about this raid that you finished today. This isn't a ranked war, it's a raid and its purpose is only lowering the enemy faction's respect, you don't earn any other reward for participating.

I thought this would be a funny drama post but this guy Thedarkweb looks like he hit his head and thinks he's going to die if he sends a post without a laughing emoji for some reason
Girl you only have 17 days in the faction and you're already getting involved in a drama that you didn't even see develop? Do yourself a favor and stay out of it, anything that you may be offered isn't worth in exchange of your mental health lol
