I see it has been almost seven years since someone made this suggestion, but since it hasn't been changed, I'm going to suggest it again:
Can we please get gender-appropriate--or at the very least gender-neutral--job titles? I got a job at the grocer and now I'm a "Bagboy" when I'm clearly not a boy!
I see other places where the game dialogue clearly takes into account players' gender, so I know the game has the infrastructure to support this. Obviously there's plenty of job titles where it doesn't matter, like brain surgeon, but for the ones where it does, please either make them responsive to the player's gender, or just change them to neutral alternatives like "Bagger" instead of "Bagboy".
Or a chance that the bomb simply fizzles, doing nothing. I mean, half-lives should *mean* something, right?
In terms of implementation, if Torn knows the creation date of each DB already, then this is all trivial to implement; fizzling is just some additional logic to add for when someone uses a DB, while the blow-up-in-display-case scenario (or if it's just sitting in your inventory, I suppose) could be handled in the same daily updates that calculate your net-worth, etc.
The only thing that would make these suggestions remotely structurally challenging to implement is if the database doesn't already track the creation time of each bomb. In that case, they would need to alter the underlying data model for the bombs, and I have not remotely enough knowledge about how Torn's items are stored to even begin speculating on whether that's an "oh sure gimme five minutes" thing for a dev to add, or a "well, yeah, if we refactor the entire item system" kind of thing.
